I am trying to free up some space on the drive where KPM resides and I find that the log folder (C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Password Manager\Logs) contains 31gb of files. This seems excessive and I want to know why there isn't an option in the app to clear these logs? Is it safe for me to delete these files manually? Please advise.

  1. This seems excessive.
  2. Is it safe for me to delete these files manually?

Hello @Heath

Welcome

  1. It is excessive, check if logging is enabled, logging should only be run for as long as necessary to capture a trace.
  2. Yes. All .log trace files are stored on your device starting when you select the Log application events check box and are deleted permanently when you uninstall the application. IF Log application events is checked - uncheck it; & then you may have to run the system in Safe mode to delete the logs.
  3. KPM has not been designed with a 'delete trace logs' option.

Was able to delete without starting in safe mode. Unchecked the feature wich I never turned on. It must be on by default.

Hello @Heath

Thank you for taking the time to update the Community!

  1. Excellent! Well done!
  2. On the contrary, as per: Kaspersky Password Manager for Microsoft Windows, Advanced section, Log application events: by default, this checkbox is cleared.
