Also someone mentioned in another thread that auto updates work in USA now, does this mean I do not need a VPN IP to use Kaspersky in USA? My license is still expired and cannot be renewed though, will need to buy from another region later this week to try it out. Also the support staff mentioned that I need to use a non-USA bank card to make the purchase, is this also true? My wife has always been able to use my USA bank cards for online shopping in Costa Rica, and it always works even if she specifies Costa Rican billing address. We've never had issues using USA bank cards there, I dont understand why it will not work buying Kaspersky license from Latin America.

btw I have not gotten a response since my last question to the Kaspersky support staff on Monday, is it possible to push for an answer to my question? I was told that bank cards in USA will not work for buying global license in latin America, but I thought it should work.

I am sorry I need urgent help again, the latin american version of Kaspersky website is not working for me after switching to a Costa Rican IP. It does not show any purchase button, most images/links are broken(clicking on links and nothing happens), even my account link is not working at all. When I open console log it has lots of weird errors that dont even make sense to an IT professional like myself.

Why is it like this? I tried the European website and my wife also tried to access the russian website, they all seem to be working properly. Can I receive a purchase link directly from the support staff for latin american version of Kaspersky, so I can skip the process of trying to find it myself?

Kaspersky support are *supposed* to be supporting you!

  • Re: 'the Latin American version of Kaspersky website is not working for me after switching to a Costa Rican IP' - the goal was for (your) wife to process the purchase of Kaspersky Plus from Kaspersky's Global website: https://www.kaspersky.com/plus, using (your) email address (1) - but *all* other details are hers: image.thumb.png.67001f094054afe17f43463b16299a9a.png
  • (2) VPN is for 1 user account on all devices.
  • (3) All Kaspersky software purchased from Kaspersky websites *activates* when the payment is processed

As far as *installing* Kaspersky Plus - IF you're physically in the US, we don't know if (you'll) be able to download the installer etc using a VPN, in theory it should be possible, however, in our opinion - IF (you) go to Costa Rica, *install* Kaspersky Plus, then return to the US and then continuously use a VPN for Database updates (you'll) have the outcome you first stated.

Thx for your comment, the website seems to be working now, maybe they had a technical issue last night before I slept. But now I am having a different problem, that any payment method I am using is not working at all. I tried to use a USA bank card first, it got declined. Tried my wife's Costa Rican bank card, got declined too. Repeated this with a different IP, same problem. Seems the only way to pay is using wire transfer, but it does not make sense to me. Is there a way to get support from Kaspersky's billing staff? I am surprised even bank cards from BCR(state owned major bank in Costa Rica) is not working.

  • You really need to continue to engage with  Kaspersky support.

This guide: How to identify the e-commerce partner from whom you purchased a solution, details Kaspersky's  e-commerce partners. 

  1. IF (you're) attempting to purchase from:  https://latam.kaspersky.com/plus, the payment portal is provided by Nexway - as can be seen in the Shopping cart, see image below
  2. If the purchaser is encountering txn issues, please contact support & OR the relevant financial institutions -> Kaspersky software purchased from the Kaspersky's Global website has no *regional* restrictions*.
  3. Is the purchase being made / attempted by a person physically situated outside of the US?

Kaspersky software purchased from the Kaspersky's Global website has no *regional* restrictions*.
