Activation Problem

Today, my friend bought the kaspersky plus CD with the activation code on it. He sent me the activation code, I created a new account on my laptop and added successfully the code. The website asked me to download the app so i did it. When the app opened it kept asking me for an activation code, even tho i added my account with the subscription on it it keeps asking for an activation code. I even restarted the pc but nothing

Could you download the installation file from here :https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads

Run the installation file and wait for install completion. you input activation code at last. if you encounter any issue, please reply back here.

• *Also* - in (your) installed Kaspersky application, do (you) see (your) email address & Subscription is active - written below the email address - see our image? 
• IF 'no' -> (you) need to log into (your) MyKaspersky account - from the installed Kaspersky application - so the Kaspersky application & the activation code / license - stored in (your) MyKaspersky account *synchronise*:
• Read: If you purchased a box or an activation card
