  1. I have used the below listed workaround when KSK misbehaves as you have have described, please reply if this method worked for you, 1. open the KSK app 2. open 'Device use' settings (gear symbol) 3. select the device with the new app 4. select 'Chose an app' 5. select '+ Add app' 6. add the new app from the Apps on the child's device 7. then only tap the green back arrow (top left) to get back to the home screen (~4 times) 8. select 'Apps & games' settings (gear symbol) 9. go to the bottom find 'Exclusions' select 'Apps' 10. the new App should now appear as, 'Works, even if the device is blocked 11. select the App, modify the settings as needed
  2. KSK is unable to block access to the internet done through the search function within the TouchPal keyboard, KSK blocking of Bing, Google and it's variants has no affect. This is a major failure with KSK since the internet can be accessed without limitations regardless of the KSK blocking settings.
  3. I have been using KSK for the past year and have learned not to depend on it for the only means of limiting internet/device usage, for Windows laptops I backup KSK with Microsoft Family, just don't forget to undo any changes or the limits will apply the following week, the next backup is that my kids are on their own wifi so I can shut the internet down without affecting the adults and VoIP service, our ISP has an app to shut down attached devices or you may have to access your modem's IP address to get to the parental controls. On Android phones KSK is easily broken by a persistent child, my daughter can gain access to Snapchat after several rapid attempts regardless of KSK settings. I know this is not a direct answer to your question but as one parent to another these methods have kept some control on an uncontrollable situation.
