How to clear the SafeMoney list in the context menu:
wgcuser replied to uziel75's topic in Kaspersky Internet Security
@Berny Thanks Berny - But am I correct (or not) about Safe Money in Task Bar Context Menu? Or is it a ‘problem’ unique to my installation of v21.1.15.500? -

@Flood and Flood's wife Bit of each! This thread appears to indicate that this ‘feature’ has been dealt with! But my observation is that the problem may still exist in V21 versions? I don't think displaying old url’s on that context menu is a great help and giving the user the ability to delete and clean up would be a nice facility. -

I’m sure I noticed that in KIS 21.1.15.500c old Safe Money Url’s when I right click the green shield and high-lite Safe Money. -
If it’s the router/modem that’s been hacked - find the reset button/switch on the router and reset to default admin user and password - probably printed on the device ?

Aaaah version mystery solved!!! v21.2.16.590 is for USA and v21.1.15.500c. for UK /EU which explains why I did not see any mention of GDPR with last install - I’m not going to dive into how I landed up with the “wrong” version! Think I’ll wait and see what Tech support come up with on original problem! @Flood and Flood's wife - No solution via Tech Support. Update on Application Start Up, with set 5 minute delay (or even 15 minutes). Does not happen and is not resolved. Are updates now automatically running - well as soon as I change from delayed to Automatic, updates kick in. My Complaint/Comment was that there is a feature which does not seem to work for me!!

@harlan4096 @Flood and Flood's wife @Anton Mefodys After contacting Tech Support I’ve had several emails requesting traces with various settings disabled. This has resulted in Safe Money becoming impossible to configure. I decided to reinstall KIS. I now seem to have KIS v21.2.16.590 not the original v21.1.15.500c. With a different user Interface and Options especially the Update settings that were originally complained about. Bit of a nightmare!

@Flood and Flood's wife and @harlan4096 Thanks for your thoughts. This is a brand new laptop AMD Ryzen 3 3200U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx 2.60 GHz 8GB RAM. Win 10 Home 64 bit v20H2 The install of KIS 21.1.15.500 was straight off the Kaspersky website, and license applied. The tick box re Disable Scheduled tasks is not ticked and the charging lead is plugged in and charging. Today no Database update after 3 hours! The only config that might be a bit strange is that I copied the KIS config from my KIS v20 a desktop PC to the laptop in a (vain) attempt to stop the annoying Google nag “Before you begin…...” (BTW is there a Kaspersky utility to print out all of the configuration so a human can read it?) BR & Keep well!

@WilbertPalmer Thanks for advice. It’s partly my fault! I was trying to creep in with a small investment a day or so before the month end. Contacting the Bank Manager (does Barclays still employ them these days?) on Monday would have been too late. I’ll just have to allow more time in future. Have noticed that NS&I have an onine queueing system (atm) with waits of 20 minutes!!

Hmmm. NS & I records are updating slowly. Today these records show ALL THREE Visa Debit cards purchases were valid !!! The receipt from NS & I covers one transaction, no other receipts received. Good job I’m not overdrawn at the bank !!!***!! Note to others (and self), beware of assuming errors with “Verified Visa” web pages.

Last weekend I attempted to make payments to National Savings and Investments (NS&I) for an online purchase my Barclays Bank Visa Debit Card. I am not new to this type of transaction and normally these proceed without a hitch. HOWEVER, when the system went to card verification, the transaction appeared to fail and I did not receive any acknowledgement of the transaction via email. I repeated the attempt to purchase with similar result. Having disabled part of KIS I repeated the attempt to purchase and correctly received acknowledgement. Today, when I examine my current account it shows Two payments each of £### and a further payment of £%%% (perhaps this was a typo by me?). I have looked at my NS&I record which fortunately shows only 1 payment of £### which is correct! Any suggestions?

Like others on this forum, I too find that frequently MSRT fails to install / update during the monthly Windows 10 Updates routine. The updated version of MSRT is offered but the install returns a (meaningless) error code. I find that if I retry (several times) sometimes, a successful install is achieved. I’ve even had to resort to downloading the software manually from Microsoft’s and installing. As I’m using KIS 20.0.14.1085(h) does this give me any / sufficient protection from Malicious Software? Is KIS + MSRT a bad combination to the point that KIS can actually disable the install of MSRT? Does KIS + MSRT give False Positives?

@FLOOD Thanks for this, I’ll go for the Kaspersky side of the coin! I’m currently using Mrswgcuser’s laptop (win 7 KIS 20.0.14.1085 (G) and FireFox 72.0.2 (32-bit) - I note that the KL extension is present - but disabled ) I’ll try switching it on later. “ Kaspersky Protection (disabled) Your protection on the Internet with extension from Kaspersky Lab” BR

After a Full Scan using KIS 20.0.14.1085(h) I received the following:- Recommendation "Using Mozilla FireFox? Install Kaspersky Protection extension to increase your level of protection". However.. clicking the link to install the extension, the following 'warning' appeared, "This extension isn’t monitored by Mozilla. Make sure you trust the extension before you install it" My question is:- Do I ignore the Recommendation? or The 'warning' from Mozilla? I'm using FireFox 72.0.2 (32-bit) All aspects of KIS including Safe Money appear to be functioning correctly i.e. green frame.

Sony Xperia XA2 Antivirus [Closed]
wgcuser replied to wgcuser's topic in Kaspersky Internet Security
Last month I purchased 2 extra installs of KIS as part of my annual renewal. This was in anticipation of purchasing two smart phones. When I started the recently purchased (two) Sony Xperia XA2 (other s’phones are available! 😉 (one for me one for wife) I found AVG already installed. My questions are :- If I install KIS for Android will it overwrite AVG? Will KIS conflict with AVG and give me false positives / poor protection? Is the best method of install to:- Force Stop & Disable AVG and then install KIS for Android? Leave the phone alone and put up with AVG? 😥 -

Kaspersky Security Premium versus Free?

@andrew75 By the same ‘criteria’ that Flood used in his 2nd post on topic:- https://community.kaspersky.com/kaspersky-internet-security-13/ransomwear-leto-6052 -
Kaspersky Security Premium versus Free?
wgcuser replied to wgcuser's topic in Kaspersky Internet Security
In a recent post and I think on the Kaspersky Web Site, I’ve seen references to “Premium Version”. I’ve purchased a 5 device Licence and Activation code and installed KIS V 20.0.14.1085. But I’m now concerned that I may have a 2nd Class security product . So how can I tell? -
@FLOOD Since my last post the ‘new copy’ of KIS 20.0.14.1085 has updated from patch c to patch e. I’ve been turning the PC on at about 09:00 and leaving it on for about 12 hours with the screen saver cutting in after about 4 minutes inactivity. The Detailed Reports show a Quick Scan at the scheduled time of 11:00 and a daily Rootkit Scan at between 14:51 and 15:58. - So I guess this is progress.

@FLOOD Indeed the Rk Scan should be automatically managed by KIS, except due to reasons unknown it doesn’t happen for me! Research shows that the cmd line avp.exe start scan_qscan will deliver a Rk scan. Batch file to C:\ program files\kaspersky lab\kaspersky internet security 20.0\avp.exe start scan_qscan Or tacking start scan_qscan onto a short cut to avp.exe seemed to do the trick. Yes I’ll take up the problem with the Lab.
