It's not Kaspersky's responsibility to provide refunds for an unreasonable and paranoid political ban. I guess we'll have to wait and see if using a VPN will allow us to continue to get updates after September or if an unused license can be activated. They can't and won't tell us, for obvious reasons.

That was quite a paranoid rant. I trust Kaspersky and don't believe they intend to create a botnet. I want to do everything possible to continue to use the product I paid for. I would love to have an offline download of Kaspersky to prepare for the cutoff date. No one knows how the US block is going to be implemented and if a VPN will allow the program updates to continue to function. Will I be able to activate a US license that I currently own if the VPN is set to a friendly country? Will Kaspersky look the other way and allow a US license to be activated if a different country, such as Switzerland, is detected? It's completely reasonable for people to ask for an offline download. Please remove your tinfoil hat.

In the short term, I don't know. Some have suggested a VPN, but there have been no responses from Kaspersky stating whether or not this will work. I don't buy the US government's propaganda and I think it's laughable that we're supposed to believe that the Russian government cares about our surfing habits. I'm more concerned about the NSA and other 3 letter US entities. It's truly gotten scary. Please vote the dementia patient out of office. He's really not in control of anything. They blocked it already? That p....... off. There has to be a way around this. I agree with you. I have no desire to use a 5 eyes NSA approved AV.

I plan to continue to use Kaspersky, because I don't believe my own government. The hypocrisy is amazing, considering that Microsoft just came out with an operating system that allows AI to take snapshots of everything you do and we're supposed to trust them! I'm so sick of these people. I'm tempted to buy an additional 5 year license, but the thing that's most concerning is that I've read we won't be able to update the product or virus definitions after 100 days. I've got 2 years left and a friend has 3. Can a VPN be used to bypass these restrictions?
