  1. Hi Product: Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud Plus We all save our word documents onto a common network harddrive. Possibly around the time of installing Kaspersky on our workstations and server, we all noticed that documents were taking much longer to open from each workstation. I realise that it may still be something else which is causing this. but I need to be certain. So a few questions: Question 1: Is there any obvious settings I can check which may be causing latency over our Network? Question 2: On a local workstation, is there a log file I can view to verify if Kaspersky is indeed scanning each file I am opening from our network hard drive? Question 3: If Kaspersky is indeed scanning each file as we open it from our network harddrive (as I describe in question 2) - is there a way I can stop doing this? Thanks in advance, Michelle
  2. Hi, in case it is useful to anyone else: Kasperkey doesn't actually delete the files. Follow these steps when you see a file as been "deleted" Go to Quarantine Quarantine > Restore File Go to Go to and RESTORE file (or delete it if you don't want it) Then make sure Kasperky doesn't put this file into quarantine again by adding it to the exclusions list (second screenshot below)
  3. Hi Nikolay, thank you for your reply. The problem is I only find out about this AFTER Kasperskey has deleted the file. I simply want to ensure Kasperky rather quarantines objects than automatically deletes them. Is there a way to do this?
  4. Hi there, Product: (trial) Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud Plus Objects which are deemed malicious are being automatically deleted (as seen in screenshot below). The problem is, not all of these objects are malicious. How do I stop Kaspersky from doing this? Is it possible to rather place these objects into quarantine where I can choose what to do with them? Many thanks, Michelle
  5. I've found two workaround options for anyone who needs it: Options 1: Create a false user. I created "no-user@doesNotExist.com" and then linked it to my server. Option 2: (more eloquent solution) An alternative, is let the Servers take the default policy, and assign all the users to the second security profile you make.
  6. Hi there, I have defined two Security Profiles defined. One is for my workstations, and the other is for my Servers. As my servers are not associated with any particular user, how do I then link a security profile to them? Thanks Michelle
  7. Hi Caos, thanks again for your reply. But as I understand it I will only get a license for Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud Plus ? Also, if I install Kaspersky Security 10.x for Windows Server - - that means it won't be visible in my cloud web console for monitoring. is that correct?
  8. Hi there, Product (trial) Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud Plus The Story of my Problem The real problem is that my PC's all go to sleep after 45 minutes of inactivity. So I kick off the scan at the start of our 30 minute lunch break. I don't want to scan my server at this time as I'm sure it will take longer than 30 minutes... and then would potentially slow down our whole network when everyone gets back from lunch. I need to kick off my server to scan in the evenings at 11PM. It's a *real* showstopper for me to have to force my server to scan at the same time as the PC's. In a previous post Caos mentioned the scan task is generic and has to be applied to all devices meaning everyone gets scanned at the same time. Is there a way to override the generic task via the settings on Kasperky installed on the Server? Or any other way possible? Any one got any ideas how I can get around my problem?
  9. delete additional question here - I'll open a separate post as this one is marked solved.
  10. Not to worry. I fixed this by forcing an update via the web console: Devices > More > Manage database update > Start Database Update
  11. Hello there, Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on why windows is telling me Kaspersky needs to be updated. As far as I can see - - Kasperky is updated...? Widows 10 "Virus & Threat Protection" shows that "Actions are needed" I see "Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows protection is out of date" So I click "Install Update" but nothing happens I open up Kasperky itself and see nowhere that I can updated, (The Password Protection setting in the web console for the policy this workstation is using is OFF) I look at the update task, to me everything seemed to have updated yesterday without incident (see UpdateReport.txt attached) Thanks in advance, Michelle
  12. Hello, I'm trialing Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud Plus. In the web console have setup Kaspersky to scan every Monday during the day in Settings > Virus Scan Settings. Question 1: Where can I see when the last scan was run for my computers? Question 2: I want my server to run it's Virus Scan on Monday nights - so a different schedule from the other machines. Is this possible to setup and if so how? Thanks in advance, Michelle
  13. Sorry Caos, my brain clearly wasn't working. Thanks for the confirmation.
  14. Hi, sorry to reply on this again - - Using: Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud Plus Does anyone know where on the webportal I can ensure Kasperky never scans our local intranet site for ALL devices, http://titeeenus.tsr.local:81/ ?
  15. Thanks Caos, What I mean to say is that Kasperky on our server, TSVSRV01, already monitors \\TSVSRV01\DATA (which is effectively our S: drive on local machines). I don't want my workstations doubling up on the work by monitoring the same location. Must I then un-check all the boxes? (I'm just a bit confused on the wording)
  16. Hi Igor, thanks for your reply. Is it at all possible to rather set this through web portal in a policy? I'd like to avoid having to do this per machine.
  17. Hi Caos, thank you very much for your quick reply. Our workstations all have the S: drive mapped to our server folder \\TSVSRV01\DATA. Question 1: For the field Name or name mask of file or folder in the attached screenshot, what exactly would you specify? Simply"S:\" or rather "\\TSVSRV01\DATA"? Question 2: For the checkboxes, since I'm going to have my server scan this folder and all it's subfolders. Would it be okay for me to SELECT each checkbox... implying that my workstations won't at all scan or apply any of the other components to this folder? Thanks for your patience Caos. I can't get over how light Kasperky is in comparison to other antivirus software I have tried. So far so good. Regards, Michelle
  18. Hi there, I'm trialing "Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud Plus". I don't want Kasperky to ever scan our internal website " http://titeeenus.tsr.local:81/" Does anyone know how I can exclude it ? Thanks Michelle //Mod Note: moved to proper section.
  19. Hi there, I'm trialing "Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud Plus". I don't want any of my PC's scanning the S:\ as this is a drive which exists on our server - - the server can scan this drive. Does anyone know how I can exclude it from the scheduled PC scans? Thanks Michelle //Mod Note: moved to proper secrtion.
