I need to add folders in "Manage Exclusions” with different scopes: In the first case, I need to exclude the files in the folder and all of its subfolders In the second case, I want to exclude only the files in the folder: I don't want to exclude the subfoldersI didn't find in the forum any clear explanation of how the wildcards work in KIS 20. Can anyone give me a clarification? Thanks in advance.

Hello, I had to upgrade my computer. Some files were recovered but the programs were wiped clean. I have a subscription with KIS. Is there a file somewhere that I can get so I can reactivate the program? I wrote down my License Key beforehand, and hopefully it is correct.

Dear Kaspersky Community, The question that has popped up in my head just recently is directly related to phishing email/website. I had (in a stupid moment) opened a suspicious e-mail (seemingly a phishing email) with a link to a website, which I stupidly clicked on. I was then redirected to a website, which is luckily blocked by Kaspersky because it was recorded in the Kaspersky’s phishing database. My question is, what happened with my personal data after this. Do I still have to worry much about losing my information, even if Kaspersky prevented me from entering this toxic site? do I have to take any extra measures (like reset my computers etc.) after this? Thank…

I’ve been using KIS for many years, but recently I moved to Windows 10 in a new PC. I installed KIS2019, however I have constant warnings from KIS every time I try to install completely safe programs. I get multiple warnings about programs “attempting to create embedded keys or parameters” for almost everything. This never happened before. I have to “Allow now” many pop up windows and it’s very annoying and time-consuming. I’m not talking about anything strange. I even got a message yesterday after a Steam update. There was a program I always use and I had to “Allow now” around 20 different pop-ups just to install it. I haven’t changed any settings, KIS works on default. …

Does KIS 2019 v 19.0.0.1088(i) give full protection against Ransomware via the System Watcher? I also have Cybereason RansomFree installed and wonder whether this is overkill or a sensible precaution to have these days.

Win 10pro/64-1909; after installing NIS, I added to the firewall some apps new rules and everything was ok, the firewall allowing to make changes without any special user confirmation; I also added new trustworthy subgroups and related apps to be ruled, this operation also led without any problem. From yesterday I found that something has changed, when I try to apply a new rule to an app a pop up ask me for “user confirmation……….”; also, and this is really strange and worrying, the insertion of a new app is not allowed (NIS firewall opens the window to make the app (.exe) choice, but then nothing is added to the subgroup). What has happened? I don’t think it’s virus rel…

This week I couldn’t upload big files on Google Drive with Firefox. With Chrome all went well. Even after deleting the cache and disabling all extensions, it didn’t work. Though I didn’t think Kasperky would be the cause, I disabled Kaspersky and the upload succeeded! I found out that I had to disable Network -> Scan secured traffic Firefox and Thunderbird. So, my problem has been solved, but I mention it in case other members encounter the same problem.

I have a great concern that I raise in general to those who have k…

Dear Community! The asana web app “https_://app.asana.com/” is being blocked despite I added this website to my “Trusted websites” in the Trusted Zone in the settings. Also I excluded it from website tracking under privacy section (allowed it) - but it still does not open and keeps loading for infinite time… When I turn Kaspersky off, the website loads fine… Any advice? Many thanks & Best, sandford

Hello! My wife wants to do online paying and KIS (v20.0.14.1085) blocked the site. The KIS report says > Dangerous URL blocked;//mpi.borgun.is/mdpaympi/MerchantServer/msgid/6831020; Heuristic Analysis; Opera Internet Browser I put the //mpi.borgun.is/* in Settings > Protection > Web Anti-Virus > Exclusions and allowed URL’s but the KIS still blocked the site and she can’t make a pay. I check the URL on the https://virusdesk.kaspersky.com/ and it says the URL is safe according to the reputation data of Kaspersky VirusDesk. WTF!? If it is safe, why my KIS blocked the payment? What can I do except the shuting down the KIS?

Hello there, My copy of Kaspersky was broken by upgrading OSX to Catalina. I understand that the only way to fix this is to reinstall, however the log-in for the main Kaspersky website is controlled by a 3rd party called 2CO and it won’t let me log-in or create a new account -- has anyone else experienced this? Would anyone know how I can get around this? I’ve been a customer for several years and not being able to access my own product's site is a giant pain. Thanks.

Hi, i got an update for KIS 2020 yesterday. From version (d) to (e). I remember that i got a popup from KIS in the 2019 version to restart my computer after an update. I didnt get any for the update i mentioned above but the size was more than 10 MB (so i figured it had to be an version update, not just database update). After restarting it showed version (e). When i tried to start Firefox i got an Password-Manager Popup from Kaspersky (like they do occasionally every week or smth). But Firefox didnt really start. The process hung up and couldnt be closed via task manager. Restarting PC leads to the same result. I couldnt start Firefox. There was no idication of a blo…

After updating Mozilla Thunderbird to 68.2.0 through KIS (20.0.14.1085e), google chrome stopped responding and CCleaner 5.63.7540 as well. CCleaner works when starting the computer “before” opening “any” browser. After installing the Thunderbird update I had to reboot to make it work which gave the above not responding incident. I ran sfc/scannow : no integrity violation. Reset chrome also in safe mode : did not help, re-installed several times : same result. Chrome version 78.0.3904.70. Uninstalled Mozilla Thunderbird and re-installed : the installation stopped when trying to create a desktop icon, tried again without installing the icon : nothing was installed. N…

When a full scan run like the name implies it runs a scan against everything. For macOS mounted drives can be found in the /Volume directory where things such as your own SSD / HDD can be found but also USB drives and mounted drives. The other thing that can be found is your Time Capsule NAS and local snap shots. As I too try to find some reasoning as to why my Full Scans seem to get stuck on arbitrary files I stumbled upon the realization that when I kick off a Full Scan my NAS drive IO spikes as Kaspersky tries to perform a full scan on all of my backups. I’ve unmounted my NAS drive and tried again but is this behavior intentional? I have Kaspersky Internet Security…

I am a long-time, satisfied user of Kaspersky software. Currently, I have the most recent version of KIS, which is installed on Windows 10 v.1903. KIS is version is 19.0.0.1008(i). A few days ago, seemingly ‘out of the blue’ my Ethernet controller lost its ability to obtain an IP address from DHCP. Prior to this, my Ethernet controller was working flawlessly. I wonder if an update to KIS could have caused this. Many thanks for your help.
