YouTube videos do not play though I have given access through KSK

Hi Experts,

Suddenly YouTube videos stop playing in Chrome & MS Edge browsers my kids are using, though I have given access through KSK. These are school curriculum videos stored in YouTube. So I had to pause KSK, then it allowed to view these YouTube video using the same browsers stated above. Seems KSK is blocking the YouTube URL though I have given access.

Welcome!

  1. (For our understanding) - using Chrome & or Edge, the school curriculum videos stored in YouTube have *always* been happily playing with KSK installed, but now *suddenly* the videos have stopped - but nothing was changed to explain the issue, Windows wasn't updated, KSK wasn't undated, the School didn't enforce any *new* restrictions - do we understand correctly? 
  2. Post a URL of the videos please, we'd like to test it with KSK? 
  3. Post a full-screen-screen-print of the access (you've) granted in KSK -> hide any personal information before posting*
  4. Which Windows OS & Build, in Windows Search, type WINVER, select the WINVER app & post back the information shown? 
  5. Which KSK Version -> on the Windows Taskbar, *Hidden icons*, rightclick the KSK icon, select About?

Hi Experts,

Further to the above I uninstalled KSK now and re-installed KSK then all worked perfectly (the YouTube videos). Then after few hours KSK prompted me to update the KSK saying they have new features. So I clicked OK and the laptop restarted. After restart and KSK was updated and now I am unable to view YouTube videos where I have granted access from KSK, meaning the problem is with the KSK automatic update I received.

Why 2 Versions are shown in KSK?

Why might two versions of KSK appear in the Taskbar Tray, and what implications does this have for the stability and functionality of the software?

Welcome!

Hovering the cursor over KSK application icon shows the version with the most current patch, selecting About shows exactly the same version number & the Application ID -> one version, one patch & one application ID

I have provided all the information requested but the problem remains the same without an answer to the product bug. I am still unable to view You tube videos I shared above in my post using KSK.

I am dissatisfied with this product!!!

  • We're not sure what's happened here. Our reply has vanished. 
  1. We were not able to replicate the issue & recommended (you) reach out to Kaspersky Customer Service (KSC)-> on the support page: https://support.kaspersky.com/b2c#contacts - select either Chat or Email, then fill in the template as shown; include a *detailed history* & a GSI
  2. ***IMPORTANT*** make sure Kaspersky are aware the issue does not exist when patch(b) is not applied***
  3. *Also* -> IF using Chat - *before* ending the chat -> ask the operator to email (you) a copy of the chat transcript - otherwise (you'll) have no record of the chat*
