Hello friends,
Good morning all.
I just surf in google and download some drivers for my PC.
Unfortunately after install them, whole pc is affected by .wrui virus.

Is Kaspersky the best to resolve it?

Kindly suggest solution for that.

Now I can't able to open any files and documents.
Kindly suggest good solution without deleting the existing documents.

Currently I am using windows7 OS 64it.

Hi @Yuvi178 ,

If I correctly understand you do not use any Kaspersky product?

We recommend to install Kaspersky (you can use a free version) in order to check the PC for malware and to prevent further infection.

As for .wrui, please submit a ticket to technical support via my.kaspersky.com and attach a sample for analysis.

First of all, Thank you for your valuable reply.
But in some cases, the files to be decypted will be deleted by antivirus tool.

In such cases, what should we do.?

Kindly share your thoughts?

You are most welcome!

Encrypted files are not detected by Kaspersky, as they do not contain any malware (well, even if they would contain malware, Kaspersky would not be able to find out, as the file is encrypted and the contents is not available for scan).

The purpose of the installation of Kaspersky is to find the encryptor program and block/delete it.

Sometimes criminals use Remote Access to run the encryptor, we recommend to disable Remote Access on your PC. Here is how to do it on Windows 10:

Disable Remote Desktop:
- type “remote settings” into the Cortana search box.
- open Remote Desktop properties.
- disable "Enable Remote Desktop". You've now disabled remote access to your computer.

Also change passwords for Windows user accounts, reset Wi-Fi router and a set strong password. Here is a set of recommendations for how to configure your router:
