Hello there,

I have a Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard with Hyper-V and Kaspersky Endpoint Security 11.1.2.63 installed.

A week or more ago Windows Server Backup started to fail, it says “Windows Backup Failed to Get an Exclusive Lock on the EFI System Partition”.

After I restart the server Windows Server Backup finish correctly.

I guess it have something with Kaspersky. Someone could help?

Actually I have Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud and I installed agent from there.

At “Distribution Package” I have this info:

“Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows (11.1.1) build (11.1.1.126).”

But now the agent updated and it’s in version 11.1.2.63.

Thank you for that info.

According to GSI there are several errors like

“Corrupção detectada na estrutura do sistema de arquivos, no volume \\?\Volume{065dee54-9f9b-4795-954d-0d91eff8b45d}. A natureza exata da corrupção é desconhecida. As estruturas do sistema de arquivos precisam ser verificadas offline.”

Please make sure, that hdd works correctly before we can continue.

Hi Nikolay, I saw this events but like I said, Windows Server Backup runs smoothly after I restart server.

I did a HD test just for guarantee and did not found any errors.

Thank you for that info!

Have you tried to disable KES components one-by-ine to determine which one of them causes the problem?
