We have Kaspersky Security Center 14.0.0.10902 running on a Windows Server 2012R2 and we want to upgrade to Windows Server 2022. I cant find anything on the knowledge base or in the forums about this. Can we carry out an in-place upgrade or do we need to create a new server with same name and ip and restore from a Kaspersky backup, and if we have to do it that way what considerations do we need to take, if any, to the new server certificate.

Has one completed an in-place 2012R2 to 2022 upgrade on a Kaspersky Security Center 14.0 server?

Always have a backup ( which certificate is also included), as Windows upgrade does not change application settings, I don't see a  problem with your upgrade if your DBMS is supported. In case of any issues, you can simply restore your backup. although I suggest upgrading your KSC to 14.2 too.
