hey guys

So i had to reinstall windows on a new PC recently and in the past kaspersky never did this, but every website i visit even google keeps asking me if i want to ignore or exclude the website, this is happening with every website i visit and it is beyond frustrating

Kaspersky is also blocking me from logging into my bitwarden account.

It never did this before and its very upsetting

  2. In the image - when Details is selected - what shows?
  3. Is the "error while scanning encrypted connection..." alert - happening in every supported browser: Edge, Firefox & Chrome?

  • In the image - when Details is selected - what shows? it just takes me to the website you linked about ignore or exclusions

  • Is the "error while scanning encrypted connection..." alert - happening in every supported browser: i havnt tested another browser, but i primarily use firefox

  • Which Kaspersky error shows when Bitwarden is blocked? bitwarden wasnt kaspersky in the end, it was an outage with bit warden themselves

Basically, this error has no information and just keeps popping up, even for this forum, its really frustrating.
  • Thanks 1

Hello @YukiTV

Thank you for the information!

We totally understand the issue is frustrating - troubleshooting it effectively will assist (you) getting it resolved - it's necessary to determine if it's related to Firefox OR the recent Windows *reinstall* OR the Kaspersky software.

  1. Please test Edge & Chrome & post back the results?
  2. IF the issue is Firefox *only*, do the following, go to: Kaspersky Network settings, install Kaspersky cert to Firefox cert storage - READ: How to add the Kaspersky root certificate to the Mozilla Firefox or Thunderbird certificate storage and *enable* the option to Use Mozilla certificate store - READUse the selected certificate store to scan encrypted connections in Mozilla applications:           image.png.206a933e89facf0a4339c821892275c3.png
  3. IF the issue persists, *Export* Kaspersky, then *Restore* Kaspersky to Default.
  4. Run a Kaspersky Database update.
  5. Shutdown the computer using Shutdown, not Restart; power ON by pressing the power button, login, recheck?
  6. IF the issue persists, *uninstall* Kaspersky, *reboot*, *clean-install* Kaspersky, download new exe from: https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads#update-product
  7. IF the issue persists, log a request with Kaspersky Customer Service, https://support.kaspersky.com/b2c#contacts  - select either Chat or Email, then fill in the template as shown; include a *detailed history*
  • *Also* -> IF using Chat -> *before* ending the chat -> ask the operator to email (you) a copy of the chat transcript - otherwise (you'll) have no record of the chat*       image.thumb.png.9b56a9f5056e123d245a6b9ddcc836e5.png

Please share the outcome with the Community, when it's available?

Thank you🙏
