Why Kaspersky company blocked Iranian IP addresses?

I have been using Kaspersky Anti-Virus for 10 years. It has not been possible to connect to my Kaspersky in the last month. Sync operation is not performed in Kaspersky Password Manager.

I constantly encounter errors ”Sign in to my Kaspersky”.

Why Kaspersky company blocked Iranian IP addresses?

  1. Is a VPN being used when the connection errors occur?
  2. In your My.Kaspersky account, is the device showing as connected?
  3. To check for errors, open KTS application, select More Tools, select Reports, select Detailed Reports, select All Events, select 24hrs or 7 days, select Export, save the Report as a .txt file, 📎 attach to your reply?

First of all, let’s check a couple of things please:

  • 1 In the Notification Centre, what is the 1 update - select Show

 

 

 

  • 3 Open Kaspersky application, select the Headset🎧icon - in the lower left hand corner of the application window, opens the Support window, hide License key & Activation code, post the image of the Support window?

This update is not related to the server connection problem
Iran has also been sanctioned by Adobe.

 

 

 

 

 

The blocking of Iran's IP by Kaspersky is obvious.

@DrMeysam hello!

  1. Have you contacted your ISP to clarify things? What do they say regaring this situation?
  2. Is there a possibility to try to use another ISP(s) and recheck the issue? 
  3. Can you open my.kaspersky.com site without VPN?
  4. Open cmd and execute  tracert my.kaspersky.com    provide a screenshot of the result
  5. Create a request to tech support https://my.kaspersky.com/techsupport#/requests/new

Welcome!

  1. Is the software (you're) trying to activate Kaspersky Free? 
  2. According to a previous releaseAVAILABILITY OF KASPERSKY SECURITY CLOUD -> there's no restrictions (from Kaspersky's side) for their AV software in Iran. The VPN cannot be used but that's due to legal restrictions, compliance with local regulations - not set by Kaspersky. 
  3. Which Kaspersky site - was the software downloaded from, post the URL please? 
  4. Read & follow: "Activation code is invalid for this region" error
  5. Is a VPN being used when the connection errors occur?
  • Kaspersky Customer Service for Kaspersky Free is not provided. 

Please try the following:

  1. Uninstall the Kaspersky software from the computer
  2. Uninstall/delete existing subscription, from (your) MyKaspersky account
  3. Make sure there's no Kaspersky software in the computer or the MyKaspersky account. 
  4. Clear the browser cache
  5. Exit the browser - do not restart the browser at the moment. 
  6. Shutdown the computer using *Shutdown*, not Restart, power on by pressing the Power button, login.
  7. Go to: https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads/free-antivirus - select *Global* & download Kaspersky Free for Windows®
  8. Run the Kaspersky Free installer.
