Why does every page request goes via Kaspersky servers?

I am using Kaspersky Anti-Virus 20.0.14.1085(I).

While using Firefox, I am observing every page request , it makes a call to Kaspersky server.

Why does every page request goes via Kaspersky servers? What antivirus has to do between browser and web-server.

I have only “Anti-Virus”, not “Internet-Security” product.

Is Kaspersky capturing all of my data?

@sudeep Welcome. Can you please try this :

Kaspersky Settings > Additional > Network > Traffic Processing > uncheck “Inject Script” > reboot

Hi @sudeep,

this is a fictitious address used by the Kaspersky AddOn to communicate with KIS/KTS. The address is resolved on your computer, it doesn't go outside.

As @Berny wrote, you can prevent the 'contact' by deactivating the script injection. Then the KL addon loses parts of its function.
Settings->Additional->Network', disable 'Inject script into web traffic...'.

Made changes as suggested by @Berny

Settings->Additional->Network', disable 'Inject script into web traffic...'.

Restarted the browser & later machine, still i can see GET request going out to kaspersky-lab.com

I want to stop this completly. Please suggest.

Hello @sudeep,

Welcome back!

Our results:

Inject script into web traffic enabled

Inject script into web traffic disabled

  • The difference being the security indicator in your results.

If you’ve:

  1. Confirmed KAV software requirements for all components?
  2. Done a full reset/refresh of Firefox?
  3. Done a KAV reset.
  4. & if KAV is licensed, not Free, please log a request with Kaspersky Technical Support, follow the template image, Support will request a GSI & Windows Logs, they may request Traces run as the issue is replicated, images and a detailed history:

  • Please share the Support Team’s advice, with the Community, when it’s available?

Thank you🙏

Hello,

Do you install the KL browsers addone? Please try to disable to check this behavior.

Regards.
