Version 20.0.14.1085(f or g?) has a bug. When my management software creates a text file on a remote server folder, IF the file already exists, the software gives me a network error. Pausing the AV does nothing. Had to revert to V.(e)

Hello  @luissilva79
Welcome!
🅰 When the problem happens (if there's an existing file on the remote server)  is it the Management software that generates the network error, or KAV?

🅰1 What is the exact network error?

&

🅰2 Pausing KAV (g)/(f), does not help, but, you've found with KAV20.0.14.1085e, the issue does not happen, is that correct?

------------------
Please tell us:

  1. Operating system name, version & build?
  2. Management software name please?
  3. Have you added any exclusions for the software?
  4. Please provide KAV Report, select All Events, 7days (if the issue happened in the last 7days, otherwise select 30 days), export report, save as a .txt file & attach📎 to your reply?

Please let us know?
Thank you.

Hello,

A: The error is generated in our software because it is denied permission to rewrite that file.

A1: It is an internal network error: 30,01

A2: Yes, but not on the server machine, I’ll probably try that too.  What’s worse is that If I configure that version to not update itself, it still does it anyway, so I’m guessing my only option here is to uninstall KAV.

1:Windows 7/8/10

2:It’s our in-house software

3:No. I’ll try that.

4:KAV report is useless in this case because nothing changes before and after the error.

Hello   @luissilva79,

Thank you for replying to me, the information & the reports👌

Try adding the domain name exclusions for Web Anti-Virus &  Encrypted Connections Scan scope

It may be necessary to make adjustments to primary & remote machines.

Regarding the Reports, change Reports & Quarantine, select Log non-critical events, replicate issue, UNSELECT 🔲Log non-critical events  ⚠Logs can be large, for best results, only keep Log non-critical events ON for as long as it takes to replicate the problem

IF exclusions modifications does not work, and, if KAV is licensed, ask Kaspersky Technical Support, they will ask for: detailed history, GSI & Windows Logs (probably from primary & remote machine) and Traces, (imo), set Traces to ALL  Traces can be large, for best results only Traces ENABLED for as long as it takes to replicate the problem

Please let me know the outcome?

Thank you
