What's the use of this option?

English: Hello, i'm using the Kaspersky Standard product. I saw one option on Online Protection. The option is on additional.  "Check the web address against a database of internet addresses that contain legitimate applications that could be used by intruders to harm your computer or personal data." Should i open it?

    Welcome to the Kaspersky community.

    Well, when this option is activated, a Kaspersky (KSN) database is queried to check whether the web address is malicious/dangerous for your browsing.

    It is recommended that you leave this box checked.
