What happens if uncheck [Delete malicious tools, adware, auto-dialers and suspicious packers]

From Exclusions and actions on object detection I learned that Delete malicious tools, adware, auto-dialers and suspicious packers

Quote

If the check box is selected, Kaspersky application deletes malicious tools, adware, auto-dialers and packed files that may contain viruses and other threats in automatic protection mode.

But I cannot find any aricles related to what happens if I uncheck this option, I guess:

• Kaspersky move deteted things into Quarantine.
• Kaspersky prompts user to decide what to do next
• Kaspersky ignore these things, which leads to less security?

The detected file will be blocked by AV, the user will be notified about detection. If the user tries to do smth with the file (run, copy, archive etc) - he will be asked by AV to select an action (delete, skip, exclude). If the file is detected during a forced scan, the action will be requested immediately. Screenshot with an adware sample:

Here is another question, related to this option:

Can this option allow me to be asked, when something is detected by File Anti-Virus and Intrusion Prevention components?

Background

Recently Kaspersky has detected a trojan virus in Inrusion Prevention and automatically delete it (however I'm pretty sure it's not a virus.) And at that time I couldn't reboot my PC as it required.

I really want to be asked before deletion (by any Kaspersky components) is done. Meanwhile, if I uncheck "Perform recommended actions automatically", there would be too much notifications. Prefer to be only asked when there is a deletion.

You mean unchecking the option "Remove malicious tools, adware, auto-dialers and suspicious packages"? No, it's only about the listed types of threats. But it applies to all protection components, e.g. File AV, System Watcher, HIPS.

If I understand correctly, without Delete malicious tools, adware, auto-dialers and suspicious packers, no deletion opearions will be done automatically.

It's a bit weird that Kasperksy put this option in both:

• Settings -> Security Settings -> Exclusions and actions on object detection
• Privacy -> Adware Remover

which made me unsure about which components it related to, but your reply gives me a clear explanation!👍

Just two paths to the same option.)

Plus, if turned off, it can be turned on in one click in the Privacy section.
