What attacks does the "Hard Devices" protect against specifically?

Recommended Posts

Hello msj0191,

that is really meaning the Control of Hard Drives but should be used carefully.

So if you add Users and give them a Schedule Plan when they could Access the Hard Drives you don't have to forget that System User should have access too.

That is meaning Read / Write Permissions on the Hard Drives and additional a Schedule Plan like only on Business hours etc.

If you wanne try what this is blocking you better try it with Removable Drives.

Hello THask,

Thanks for the reply.

I was able to create the file even after removing user write access to the hard drive as you mentioned.

I checked the USB as a removable device, but not the hard drive.

How can I test blocking the hard drive instead of the USB device?

Best Regards,
