I recently stumbled across "vulnerability scan" which obviously isnt done during a normal scan. what things other than a standard scan are required for Kaspersky Internet Secruity to keep me safe from viruses, malware etc.?

Hello D14BL0, Additional to richbuff, Vulnerability scan, scans the operating system and applications installed on the computer that may have vulnerabilities that can be exploited by malware. Vulnerability scans are important and should be run on a (automated) regular schedule. (A) Full scan, by default, scans System Memory, Startup Objects (loaded on operating system startup), Disk boot sectors, System Volume Information. (B) Even tho it would make sense/be more efficient, to add (manually or otherwise) A to B, it's not possible to add the group (as in A), rather, each app has to be added individually... Thank you.

From: Kaspersky Lab Support, Sent: Friday, 18 October 2019 17:11“Vulnerability scan is not included in Full scan. Vulnerability scan is a standalone tool that uses other mechanisms to detect system vulnerabilities; it uses different algorithms than those used by Full Scan.”
