Kaspersky unable to quarantine nor delete HEUR:Trojan-Dropper.AndroidOS.Triada.az on my smartphone.

It takes forever to delete, always scanning but not finishing. So I close the app. And when I open it again to scan, it's still there.

What should I do? Should I just "Skip"? Is it harmless? Thanks in advance.

  1. Is it harmless?

Hello @wil2023

Welcome back!

  1. According to Kaspersky:  Trojan-Dropper.AndroidOS.Triada.az, a type of malware that decrypts and runs a payload capable of displaying ads on the lock screen, opening new browser tabs, gathering device information, and dropping other malicious code. So no, it's not harmless.
  2. Have (you) manually searched for the 43.apk & can it be found? IF 'yes', delete it.
  3. Is the Kaspersky app/subscription *up-to-date* - uninstall & download a clean install, read: How to download Kaspersky apps on Android and iOS
  4. When the new install is complete - run a FULL scan - allow it to complete - IF the Trojan-Dropper.AndroidOS.Triada.az *remains* & (you) cannot get rid of it using Kaspersky, log a request with Kaspersky Customer Service, https://support.kaspersky.com/us/b2c/us#contacts  - select either Email or Chat, then fill in the template as shown; include a *detailed history*. Support may request logs, data & traces.
  • *Also* -> IF using Chat - *before* ending the chat -> ask the operator to email (you) a copy of the chat transcript - otherwise (you'll) have no record of the chat*    image.thumb.png.96dd52cb992893306ed37907514bf00c.png

Please share the outcome with the Community, when it's available?

  • *Also* - make sure all Android *updates* have been applied.

Thank you🙏
