Unable to Push Through to Log Into "Suspicious" Website

Recommended Posts

There is a website I log into weekly (www.cargillag.com).  This week, when I try to log in, Kaspersky says it is a suspicious website.  I click on "continue to website anyway" and get a screen that says only:  "touch.kaspersky.com OK" (see screenshot)

I have added the website and the log-in page URLs as "trusted websites" under Web Antivirus Settings.  I have added these URLs as "exclusions" under URL Advisor - Check URLs.  But I still cannot get past Kaspersky to log into the website.

Any suggestions, please?

Hello @Glom

Welcome!

👉May we see the *actual* Kaspersky Report, filter the search result so it's just showing the alert for cargillag & collapse the side column to maximise the information & make sure the detail in the lower portion of the screen is shown please - see image 3 as an example?

👉We tested Edge & Chrome, without any problems & without having to add any exclusions) - see images:

👉Kaspersky Total Security has been replaced by Kaspersky's new software, Kaspersky Plus, *eventually* Kaspersky Total Security will reach end-of-life, altho as yet - no end date has been announced - read: Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium - info & FAQ, by Danila T. - it would be interesting to see if "Kaspersky says it is a suspicious website. & "touch.kaspersky.com OK" issues repeat - with Kaspersky Plus?

👉Irrespective of the Kaspersky software - please do the following steps:

  1. Reset the Browser: chrome://settings/reset; edge://settings/reset
  2. Exit the browser(s)
  3. Run a Kaspersky Database update.
  4. Shutdown the computer, using Shutdown, not Restart, power on by pressing the Power button, login, recheck both: "Kaspersky says it is a suspicious website. & "touch.kaspersky.com OK" issues?

Please post back?

Thank you🙏

I should have mentioned that all of this takes place when using the small "Account Login" in the upper right corner of the page.  (The large "Manage Your Account" login further down on the right side of the page doesn't actually allow me access to my Cargill account.)

Screenshots attached.  I'm not sure I've been able to capture the detail you mention "in the lower portion of the screen," alas.

Thank you very much for looking into all this.  It's very much appreciated.

P.S.  The reports are only showing the alerts for cargillag.

It can be a false positive:

I'm reporting the possible false positive to K. analysts.

Thank you very much.  Cargillag is a website that allows farmers to see their grain deliveries and sales and I haven't been able to check that information for the past week.

Hello @Glom

You're most welcome!

Thank you for posting back & the information!

While you're waiting for a report from the Virus lab - we'd like to know IF the issue repeats with Kaspersky's new software - Kaspersky Plus - please do the following steps:

  1. Create a System restore point
  2. Export KTS config.  ‼️Do not Import OR Restore the config - until the issue is fixed‼️
  3. Sign into (your) MyKaspersky account & make sure the KTS Activation code is saved in the Subscription tab.
  4. Uninstall KTS - using Windows, Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features.
  5. Shutdown the computer, using *Shutdown*, not Restart, power on by pressing the Power button, login.
  6. Go to: https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads#update-product - select Kaspersky Plus - Trial - download & install, make sure the software synchronises with your  MyKaspersky account with the *same* email address that the KTS Activation code is associated with.
  7. Run a Kaspersky Database update.
  8. Run a Kaspersky Full scan -> allow it to complete.
  9. Shutdown the computer, using *Shutdown*, not Restart, power on by pressing the Power button, login.
  10. Recheck Cargillag?
  • Please share the outcome with the Community, when it's available?

Thank you🙏
