Hey guys! I'm proudly Kaspersky user since 2008 from Turkey. I formatted my Mac Pro 16" and reinstall Kaspersky but I couldn't it says something like this ->

The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance. An error occurred while running scripts from the package “kismac.pkg”.

and recommending developer to update their kernel extensions.

I don't want to refund my subscription. What should I do?

~ I already deducted my security level from full to reduced.

Hello @displayName

Welcome!

  1. Which macOS version is your Mac using, please read this guide: Find out which macOS your Mac is using
  2. Just so we are clear, if the problem can be fixed, you do still wish to continue to use Kaspersky software - is that correct please?
  3. When / what date - does your current Kaspersky subscription expire?

Please post back?

Thank you🙏

Hello Flood,

Thanks for your quick reply.

1- I was having error on Sonoma 14.2 then reinstalled MacOS 13.6.2 Ventura but I'm having same error. It's not about my Operation System I guess.

2- Yeah I don't want to switch my Anti-Virus Product provider. I know that Kaspersky is the best and I'm an user of Kaspersky since 2008.

3- Today I renewed it. I still have around 364 days.

Hello @displayName

You're most welcome!

Thank you for the information!

One more question please, the *renewed* subscription = what is the full name of the Kaspersky software, as it shows in (your) MyKaspersky account, https://my.kaspersky.com/MyLicenses#/portal/pages/licenses page - 💥hide any personal information please💥

Please post back?

Thank you🙏

Kaspersky Total Security, Active Till, Dec 17, 2024.

Hello @displayName

Thank you for the  information!

Ok, so how to explain this, it's a little complicated, if we are not clear please ask questions:

  1. Kaspersky Total Security is from Kaspersky's original software range, the software that is installed on MAC & Android, for that subscription is Kaspersky Internet Security.
  2. Kaspersky Anti-Virus, Kaspersky Internet Security, Kaspersky Total Security & Kaspersky Security Cloud (Kaspersky's *old* software) have all been replaced by Kaspersky's *new* range: Kaspersky: Standard, Plus, Premium - Bilgi ve SSS - eventually the *old* range will reach end-of-life, Kaspersky have not yet announced an end date.
  3. For the Kaspersky Internet Security for macOS® - which you've  been trying to install, it shows: 2021 Edition; macOS: Monterey (12), Big Sur (11), Catalina (10.15), Mojave (10.14), however, the documentation shows: KIS 21 for Mac, Donanım ve yazılım gereksinimleri: 10.14, 10.15, 11, 12, or 13 - *bottom line* - we think (your) system needs the *new* software: Kaspersky for Mac, Donanım ve yazılım gereksinimleri
  4. So, you please need to contact Kaspersky Customer Service: https://support.kaspersky.com/tr/b2c/tr, on the support page, select Email, then fill in Setup problemsError: Installation files source is not accessible template, please include any screen images of the error & a *detailed history*. Support may request logs, traces & other data; they will guide you.
  5. Note, after sending the  email, you will receive an automated email with an Incident reference number, beginning with INC000, then within 3 to 5 business days - a Kaspersky support person, will contact you, also by email.

Please share the outcome with the Community, when it's available?

  • 2nd note: you're always very welcome in the English forum, but if you wish, for any future topics, there's a Türkçe Forum, with a wonderful Moderator: murat5038.

Thank you🙏

Hey Flood,

I wanted to update you back so others who have the same problem can find a solution in the future.

You were right. Internet - Total Security is not supported on Apple Silicon Ventura or newer versions like Sonoma. I contacted KAV Customer Support Specialists and they refunded my old version due to an incompatible software installation attempt then I've bought a Kaspersky Premium subscription that renewed range as you mentioned above.

Thanks for everything, mate. Someone was individually targeting me on the internet for the last 4 months and every day I was waking up to another hacking attempt and they hacked me twice. (I did not used Anti-Viruses for a couple of weeks) Now I can feel relaxed again. They cannot break Kav's protection.

Problem Solved, KAV is the best! Thanks again.
