Hello @Captain Paul,

If you haven’t done the software compatibility check please do so, then, please raise a case with Kaspersky Technical Support; the support team will need a detailed history, a GSI & Windows Logs and they may request Traces, run as the issue is replicated; if Traces are required they will step you thru the necessary steps.

After submitting the case, you’ll receive an automated email with an INC+12digits reference number, then, nomally, within 5 business days, a Kaspersky Technical Support human🕵 will communicate with you, also by email, you may continue to engage with the Kaspersky Technical Team via email or by updating the INC in your MyKaspersky account.

Please let us know the outcome when it’s available?

Thank you🙏

@Captain Paul

1.You turn off Kaspersky? Or just paused protection? How did you do this?
2. The Kaspersky process (avp.exe) cannot be stopped manually through the task manager. Self-protection of the product prevents this.

3. When Kaspersky (as well as any third-party antivirus) is disabled or antivirus protection is paused, in Windows 10 the Defender of Windows automatically starts.

“Protection Disabled”

I just “Enabled” it again.

There were 2 instances running - one green, and one grey…

Now both are green

Restart your computer and only Kaspersky Anti-Virus should remain active.

To completely unload Kaspersky Anti-Virus, you need to right-click on the Kaspersky icon in the tray and select "Exit".
But, as you have already noticed, this will launch the Windows Defender.

like i said I did everything I could to turn it off.

And two instances of KAV were running one greyed-out and one green. Plus ms antivirus…

So like 4? instances of intensive disk read/write . when I needed it OFF!

Hello @Captain Paul,

to disable the second AVP process as well, you have to disable the 'autorun' option and then reboot the computer.
