I've just installed Kaspersky on my MacBook and get this every time I start it.

Selecting cancel works but the other option (open with and download app do nothing useful.

Is there something I can select in settings to point Kaspersky to where it needs to go?

Does anyone form Kaspersky monitor these threads?

Hi,

Let's try this, it should help:
Reboot macOS.
Then in Terminal, run each command in turn (copy/paste/press Enter):

pkill ksec
launchctl remove com.kaspersky.ksec.bl.resolver
rm -rf ~/Library/Group\ Containers/*ksec*

After that you need to use Finder -> Go -> Go to Folder... type ~/Library/Containers/ and go to this folder. Find the com.kaspersky.ksec.bl.resolver folder and delete it to the trash. Empty the trash.

Check the problem.

Unfortunately Danila's solution didn't work for me... I also tried the official "removal tool for Kaspersky applications on macOS", but it yielded no results. Then I removed/reinstalled Kaspersy VPN and the message disappeared. I’m just sharing my experience in case it helps others.

Hi all,

I use Kaspersky already very long time. This 'problem' occasionally pops up after updating the OS (at least to me...)
Solution proposed by Danila_T never worked for me, solution by Debsw007 however does. To get VPN back without the pop up, I subsequently remove the VPN app from my Mac and then reinstall it (Apple store). Turn 'Operate on background' back on and the VPN is available again and (again on my Mac's) the pop up is gone after start-up. It works on both Intell and Silicon Macs.
Good luck!
