Hello.

Many sites have stopped working due to main.js since it is embedded in all pages.

This error started to appear a month ago after version 20.0.14.1085

Hello @Luberec, welcome to the forum.

As a workaround:
Go to 'Settings->Additional->Network' and disable 'Inject script into web traffic to interact with web pages'.
Please also contact support and report the problem.

Hello  @Luberec,

Additional to  @Schulte🙇

  • Does the issue happen in every browser?
  • Chrome version?

I previously saw the error you’re reporting , in about the same timeframe, is KIS up to date with latest patch?

If the issue is only happening in Chrome, have you refreshed Chrome?

For me now:

Chrome Version 79.0.3945.79, no .js errors
Firefox 71.0, no .js script errors

Thank you🙏

Thanks for the answer.

Browsers: Chrome, Edge.

Sometimes, when do a page refresh with clearing the cache Ctrl + F5, the error disappears.

There is no more accurate information, since this error appears in one out of a hundred people.

But can definitely find out that the error began to appear after November 15-25.

Hello  @Luberec,

Thank you for replying.

I too previously saw the .js script errors in the same timeframe.

🛑 Windows 1909 release was 2nd to 3rd week of November 2019🛑

  1. Check all Windows updates have a successful status?
  2. Check KIS patch?
  3. Refresh Edge.
  4. Refresh Chrome.
  5. If necessary refresh KIS.

If the problem persists, follow  @Schulte’s advice, raise a case with Kaspersky Technical Support, include & GSI & Windows Logs. Support will request Traces to be captured as the issue is replicated, they will guide you with the collection of the Traces.

Please let us know the outcome?

Thank you🙏
