I set the VPN to exclude only the discord app when tunneling is active, but it gives me an error like in the photo below. If I leave tunneling on and don't exclude any apps (like discord) the game opens. Is there a setting to solve this error, if not I'm honestly thinking of returning it, because the only feature that would be useful to me is the tunneling feature.

I guess no one has any information about this, I guess I will have to return it. Making any application an exception in split tunneling causes this error, I hope this problem will be solved in the future.

Please provide versions VPN installed.

 

Can You also post a capture of the exclusion in Split Tunneling settings?

I don't open anything on purpose because whatever app I add, roblox gives me the above error.

*Also* - IF using Chat - *before* ending the chat -> ask the operator to email (you) a copy of the chat transcript - otherwise (you'll) have no record of the chat*

This might help with the split tunneling issue in Kaspersky VPN while waiting for an official fix, here are some potential workarounds you can try:

  1. Temporary Disable Other VPN Settings: If you have other VPN features enabled (like secure connection, ad blocking, etc.), try disabling them temporarily to see if it resolves the error with Discord.

  2. Modify Network Adapter Settings:

    • Go to your network settings and check the properties of your network adapter. Sometimes, adjusting the settings related to Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) can help.
    • Ensure that the DNS settings are set to automatic or use a public DNS server like Google (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4).
  3. Run as Administrator: Try running both Kaspersky VPN and Discord as an administrator. Right-click their icons and select "Run as administrator." This can sometimes resolve permission issues.

  4. Reconfigure Split Tunneling:

    • Remove Discord from the exclusion list and save the settings.
    • Then, add Discord back into the exclusion list and check if the issue persists.
  5. Check Firewall Settings: Make sure that your firewall settings (either within Kaspersky or Windows Firewall) allow both Kaspersky VPN and Discord to operate without restrictions.
