Hi there all,

Just a few licensing questions concerning a direct kaspersky.com potential purchase:

• If one buy's a subscription, does it "activate" directly?
• If it does not activate directly, how long does one have before needing to "activate"?

To be clear, I still have some available days on my current subscription although there is an appealing offer currently available.

Welcome back!

1. A subscription for Kaspersky Standard, Plus & OR Premium, purchased from a Kaspersky website, normally *activates*  automatically the day of purchase - as soon as there's a successful payment. 
2. Kaspersky's new range, Kaspersky Standard, Plus & OR Premium, purchased from a Kaspersky website, do not rely on *Activation codes*, read: Where to find the activation code for Kaspersky Standard, Plus, Premium. IF the same software is purchased from Kaspersky Amazon OR a physical, boxed Kaspersky software (you) will receive Activation codes. 
3. Go ahead & purchase the *appealing offer*, but (you) will have to log a request with Kaspersky Customer Service & ask them to suspend the *new* subscription so it activates at the end of the existing subscription; frankly we think Kaspersky need to come up with a new design for this part of the process; it's laborious & messy for their subscribers.   
4. Important information in the Kaspersky website - shopping cart that subscribers *should* read:

Yeah well, I wouldn't bother with all of that if the "renewal prices" were close to the current new offerings, although it's not the case at all... I'll just wait and grab what's possible close to the renewal date.. Reminder already set ?

If you add an ' Activation Code ' to your MyKaspersky account it will become a ' Reserve Activation Code '

As you've acutely observed, 'renewal prices' are very rarely close to current *new* offerings; also, Kaspersky do show the renewal price in the shopping cart, when the original purchase is made. 

Just in case it's not clear in our previous reply & in case it's not clear in Kaspersky's documentation - for all of Kaspersky's *new* subscriptions purchased from Kaspersky's websites - there are no activation codes - there's License Keys - License Keys cannot be manually added anywhere - not in the application NOR in the subscriber's MyKaspersky account - by the purchaser.
