Scan on Battery

Can someone explain the Option in the MAC Policy:

• Disable or enable the start of scheduled tasks when the computer is running on battery power.

If the Scan task is running and the User removes the Power to his MAC, Should the Scan Pause?

When labtop is powered by battery then no tasks (scan) are not run because saving energy. 

It should be right this when you remove power cord then kaspersky will stop doing scan or etc..
