Safe money has been working except for the certificate problem. However for one of my banks it will not let me do a transfer. I can transfer without safe money and on my phone so it is not the banks problem. Any suggestions?

Welcome back!

The anticipated Safe Money issues are as advised in the: Guide on Kaspersky software availability in the United States, Safe Money:

  • Safe Money feature will stop receiving updates. This may lead to the following errors when entering the Protected Browser mode, even for trusted websites:
  1. “Certificate verification problem” error with an option to continue browsing
  2. “There is a problem checking the certificate for HTTPS connections”
  3. Amber frame will appear around the browser window while using trusted banking websites through Safe Money
  • Which *error/s* show, please post *full-screen-screen-prints* - hide *all* personal information before posting!!
  • Look in KTS Reports - are there any errors that match the bank that will not process? IF 'yes', post *full-screen-screen-print* of the Report with the *Detail section included*  - hide *all* personal information before posting!!
  • Does the same error repeat in every *supported* browser: FireFox, Edge, Chrome? 
  • Also, KTS is *old*, it's been replaced by Kaspersky Plus, *but* because of the BAN, you'll probably not be able to update to Kaspersky Plus, read: Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium - info & FAQ; log a request with Kaspersky Customer Service -                                                 https://support.kaspersky.com/us/b2c/us#contacts - on the support page, select either Email or Chat, then fill in the template as shown; please include a *detailed history*, include screen-prints:                            image.thumb.png.1f113c2476e5496048ec4b67c4eb78d6.png
    *Also - IF using Chat - ask the operator to email (you) a copy of the chat transcript *before* ending the chat - otherwise (you'll) have no record of the chat*

I heard back from the bank in question and they suggested that I whitelist the website. I understand about the certificate problem.

Can you tell me how to do that I cannot find it in settings

This is an image of the error message I am getting. The bank suggested that I whitelist their website. How do I do that? They did tell me that they made some updates to their server software a few weeks ago. I do click on want to proceed but Kaspersky must see something that they do not like and won't let me proceed. I also cannot access bill pay when in safe money.

I am also having a problem with one of my brokerage accounts that occurs only when using safe money.

The whitelist option sound logical. HELP PLEASE

Thank you for posting back & the image!

  1. We're now *assuming* the 'unfortunately we're unable to process your request at this time' error - happens in every supported browser ? Is that a correct assumption? 
  2. From the information provided - no *obvious* Kaspersky error - altho - some of the provided information indicates there's a 'certificate error' -> some certificate errors cannot be 'overridden/excluded' - without the exact information the following is generic advice.
  3. As we don't know which santanderbank site (you're using) - DON'T copy *our* URL, use the exact URL from (your) SafeMoney browser. 
  4. To *whitelist* there are *three* different places that may assist, we've numbered the screen-prints - hopefully they'll be easy to follow: 
  • IMAGE ONE -> open the SafeMoney *browser*, go to santanderbank site = YOUR URL, open the Kaspersky *extension*, change Private browsing to Allow data collection of this website; change Anti-Banner to Allow on this website
  • IMAGE TWO -> Kaspersky *application*, go to Security Settings, select Safe Browsing.
  • IMAGE THREE -> In Safe Browsing *Settings*, scroll down to & *select* Advanced Settings.
  • IMAGE FOUR -> Still in Safe Browsing *Settings*, scroll down to & select Trusted URLs
  • IMAGE FIVE -> Add (your) URL, select OK, select OK (again), select SAVE
  • IMAGE SIX, Select Confirm (to confirm the change). 
  • IMAGE SEVEN -> Kaspersky *application*, go to & select Network Settings
  • IMAGE EIGHT -> *UncheckInject script into web traffic to interact with web pages - this is a TEST *only* - read the end of our reply regarding this change!
  • IMAGE NINE -> Scroll down to & select Configure trusted addresses
  • IMAGE TEN -> Add santanderbank *DOMAIN*, select Add
  • IMAGE ELEVEN - Select Save
  • No IMAGE - Select Save (again)
  • No IMAGE - Select Confirm (to confirm the change)

  • ***Regarding: *Uncheck* Inject script into web traffic to interact with web pages - this change disables important functions - IF it works (you) need to contact Kaspersky***
  • Re the 'brokerage account' is it the same  'unfortunately we're unable to process your request at this time' error? IF 'no', please provide more detailed information, we need to see what you see. 
  • Finally, please post a full-screen-screen-print - of the certificate error - *include* the URL? Please readHow to take a screenshot on a Windows PC.

Please post back IF there's any issues & or to share the outcome with the Community, when it's available?
