Safe Kids, Is it possible to restrict my access to my password, depending on my scenario?

Hey guys so i am trying to quit porn for some time and safeguards play a big role in it. For the longest time Safekids isnt effective for me because i know the password. My issue is that my brother is the only one who i can trust with controlling this application and he does not want to help. I have a group of guys who would love to help but they aren't family and there is way too much info that safekids gives them and i am not comfortable sharing that for obvious reasons. My desired situation is to have a system where if i need the password for whatever reason other than my porn urges i could access my account.

What is the best way to keep myself accountable while preserving previous information like my internet history etc.

Hello @DDondada

Welcome!

  • There is only one KSK master password.
  • The way KSK works is the parent account controls the child account, the description you’ve provided does not sound compliant🤔
  1. Is there a parent who’s managing KSK?
  2. Can you explain how you’ve come to having control of/access to the KSK parent account please?

Please post back?

Thank you🙏

i know that and i understand that. my question is there a way that a parent wont have access to private info like the location of my phone, browsing history, etc. Because in this case they arent actually my parents so i cant give them all that info

Hello @DDondada

Thank you for posting back.

No, unless options are disabled; however, fi you’re objective is to moderate your behaviour, that would defeat the purpose.

Kaspersky Safe Kids automatically adjusts settings according to the age specified for the child's account.

Anyone with access to the KSK parent profile & password can change these settings and view reports through My Kaspersky and on a mobile device with a parent's profile. The following report sections are available:

  • Summary, where the activity on the child's device for 1, 7, or 30 days can be viewed.
  • “Where is my child?”, where the parent account can view the location of the child and set the allowed area. If “Where is my child?” is OFF, location will not be determined.
  • Internet, where the parent account can view the statistics on visited websites according to the content categories. On iOS devices, these features are only available for the built-in Kaspersky Safe Kids browser.
  • Device use, where the parent account can find reports on the time spent using the device and adjust the time settings. Certain iOS features make it impossible to block the child's iOS device. However, the child will receive a warning when the allowed use time expires.
  • Applications, where the parent account can view the statistics of the application use and adjust the application use settings. On iOS devices, the parent account can only control access to those applications that are not suitable for the child's age.
  • Social networks, where the parent account can view the statistics on social networks and adjust the monitoring settings.
  • Child’s devices, where the parent account can view the list of the devices used by the child.
  • Profile, where the parent account can view and adjust the account settings for the child.

Thank you🙏
