Perform Veeam backup of Kaspersky Security for Virtualization 5.1 Light Agent

Hello support,

how you can see in the request’s subject I would perform a backup of the virtual appliance in our production environment of VMware’s Datacenter.

 

Our backup’s software is Veeam B&R 10 and we deployed some Virtualization 5.1 Light Agent directly on our hosts. We scheduled a periodic backup job of the virtualization virtual machine, to garantee the database consistance the VBR requere the root account credencials to performe a quiescente of the virtual machine.

Unfortunatly, the customer, forgotten the root credencial and the backup job end with a warning all times.

 

Have you a procedure to restore the default password (we could access directly to the .vmdk files, if necessary) or a best practive/howto perform a system backup with VBR, in the wrost case, could you provide how is the best way to proceed without less the environment information?
