No more Kaspersky browser extensions for the rest of the world?

I guess you all know by now that Kaspersky has been banned in the US due to the political issues between USA & Russia (I just found out about the removals 2 hours ago):

https://support.kaspersky.com/us/faq/2024-us-sales-statement#file-and-web-antivirus

The two most important browser extensions that accompany my products are no longer available in Chrome/Edge/Firefox extension stores:
Kaspersky Protection Extension + Kaspersky Password Manager Extension

Question is...why do we non-US customers have to suffer too? Not everything revolves around that country you know.

I understand that the browsers we're using are all US-related and that they have to comply and completely remove everything Kaspersky from their platforms, but Kaspersky should find solutions for us that have nothing to do with the US. We should be able to continue using these services that we have been relying on for years.

Currently, everything is working without issues on my side since I have the extensions installed before the ban, but if I ever delete those for any reason, or move to a new computer (which I will be doing very soon!), then im screwed and I won't be able to install the extensions anymore. Yes, I may not rely on the extensions that much since the Windows apps are more than enough, but I still want the same complete experience that I have been enjoying for years.

What now? Can't you serve these extensions as files that we can manually download and install as add-ons? Seems very easy to achieve yet it looks like Kaspersky is giving up on the rest of the world. Hopefully this is not a sign of a future closure as I've been a customer for close to 20 years.

I'm in Ireland and when I try to install Kaspersky Protection 2021 addon into the latest Firefox I get the message: "Download failed. Please check your connection."

hmm, "Falló la descarga. Comprueba tu conexión.". -  the same problem.

I have Windows 10 Home, Kaspersky Standart 21.18.5.438 (a), Mozilla Firefox 130.0.1 (64-bit)

other addons are ok

Try from this link (my own private cloud), I just took it from my FF profile, You will have to install from that file, selecting Install from an archive / file.

This post hasn't been solved yet, I don't know why you're marking your own as the solution? Im the poster here, not @LudmilaP.

There are no Kaspersky addons for Chrome & Edge. On Firefox, only Kaspersky Protection is still there (no Kaspersky Password Manager extension) but im sure Protection will also get removed soon on FF store.

I use all 3 browsers on a daily basis. Nothing personal, but we need an official way to install these addons for all those browsers, not a forum mod uploading a file from his computer.

Hi,

Browser extensions works normally for non US users.

They work if you installed them before the ban, but they are no longer available to download again.

Thank you! I wasn't aware of these links. It appears Kaspersky Protection extension for Chrome can be accessed only through that link (could get deleted soon?).

At the moment, all extensions made by Kaspersky will not show up when searching the Chrome extension store (im not in USA):
https://chromewebstore.google.com/search/kaspersky

For Firefox, only KP extension is available in search, but no KPM. So im assuming KP will also get removed soon.

It appears that all Kaspersky extensions  can in fact be installed without searching for them through the Chrome/Edge/Firefox extension stores! I was only aware of this now and I will explain it below since it wasn't very clear even to me who I've been using Kaspersky products for many years.

To install Kaspersky Protection extension:

Open your Kaspersky for Windows app, search for "extension" in the search box, and there you will find all the extension-related info.

I already had all the extensions installed, so I made a quick test by deleting KP extension for Firefox, but it was still stuck to "On" even when I restarted Kaspersky Plus & Firefox. However, once I restarted both apps I got a Windows pop up from Kaspersky Plus asking to install the extension for Firefox.

If you weren't successful with installing the extension this way, just install it through the link here (link is alive when writing this post):

For more info:

To install Kaspersky Password Manager extension:

Open your KPM for Windows > Settings > Browsers, then just click on install from there.

I tested it on Firefox by deleting my extension then re-installing it through here. It started downloading the extension by itself and I was able to install it like usual.

Hopefully things will continue working nicely like this for all of us who are not living in USA! I can't verify if this will work for US-residents, so maybe someone try this and let us know?

Thanks to everyone who tried to help. This thread is now solved.

I tried digging through Google search for some links and I was able to find another page for Kaspersky Protection with just 1 user rating:

https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/Kaspersky Protection/ggcchoafdoonfjffokbkpfpiokjdpelm

Same developer as the original extension (KASPERSKY LAB MIDDLE EAST FZ-LLC), but it has a newer version (2.11.78.3 vs 2.10.9.1).

The original extension is here, with 1.4K ratings:

https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/kaspersky-protection/ahkjpbeeocnddjkakilopmfdlnjdpcdm

Why does that new one exist? An official word would be nice.

I'm using Kaspersky Protection extension 2.11.96.0 for Chrome and Edge. It has been updated September 20, 2024, and I think it's latest version. I used DuckDuckGo to find it, when I reinstalled Kaspersky Premium a week ago for just more fun. No problems here! but Google maybe have them.

Wow, a third one?

Can someone explain why there are 3 different Kaspersky Protection extensions?

https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/kaspersky-protection/ahkjpbeeocnddjkakilopmfdlnjdpcdm

Is it the same extension but Chrome extension store creates a separate page for each version or what?
