Hi,

Trying to install Kaspersky Security Center 11 to my windows server 2012 R2. Already finished and installed the database (SQLExpress 2014 64 bit) and it was successful. However during the installation of KSC “No connection to the database server (Please configure connection(Cannot connect the DB server)” prompts and cannot proceed now to installation.

Have you encountered this problem?

Please see attached file below for the reference.

Thank you.

Regards,
Kurt

Hi,

Please upload your getsysteminfo (gsi) using the latest available version of it.

To generate the getsysteminfo (gsi) check this link: https://support.kaspersky.co.uk/common/diagnostics/3632#block7

Getsysteminfo (GSI) direct download: http://media.kaspersky.com/utilities/ConsumerUtilities/GetSystemInfo6.2.zip

Personal recomendation: First install Microsoft Sql Express (better 2019 or 2017) , reboot, then install KSC (better last version 12).

Remember also:

Not recommended if you intend to run a single Administration Server for more than 10,000 devices or to use Application Control

Concurrent use of the SQL Server Express Edition DBMS by Administration Server and another application is strictly forbidden.

Installation of Kaspersky Security Center requires administrator rights on the device on which the installation is performed.

Hi,

Total physical memory: 4193.90 Mb. In my personal opinion you need to install more physical memory (16 mb or more).

Uninstall Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows - 11.3.0.773, on the server, install Kaspersky Security 10.x for Windows Server.

Download: https://support.kaspersky.com/ksws10#downloads

Uninstall Microsoft SQL Server versions, with one version is enought .

Personal recommendation: Please don´t use Revo Uninstaller.

I don´t know if Wazuh is compatible with Kaspersky.

Please review windows events logs, errors not related with Kaspersky.

First install Microsoft Sql or Express (better 2019 or 2017) , reboot, then install KSC (better last version 12).

Regards

Hi,

I have a question, based on your findings does the user rights/admin of the server conflicts the installation process of KSC? i already tried the 2017 express, i got some errors, so i decided to go with 2014 sp2 express. As recommend during installation.

Thank you.
