New version blocking internet

Hello,

Today i received an update that an new version Kaspersky Plus was installed.

i had to activate license again, agree on a lot of agreements again. irritation 1, if you make a new version fine, dont bother me with it.

But after it the real join begon, i couldnt open a freaking website.
Every single website i get an popup of i want to add that site as trusted.
I dunno what you want, but do you want to get deleted cause this is how you get deleted.
Is there an 1 click solution to this problem or is the 1 click solution to delete Kaspersky?

i dunno?! i got an pop up new version, active license or something like that.

and it showed the amount of days my license is still active.

i don't know dude. sounds like firewall notifications where turned on. which i prefer.  it's not a bad idea. i turned all my firewall notifications on except for the ones that were too annoying like objects and archives and links detected. on older version of K internet security. once i am up and running keep my puter turned on not many notifications, just stupid programs trying to call home. which i block.

the lesson here is don't upgrade unless you have to. if it's not broken don't fix it. most upgrades are just a way to put more crap on your computer.

on KIS you can click the lower left gear icon and click interface and then notification settings. i would also save settings in manages settings and export and save in case you make a mistake.

take control of your computer. it's  not hard. block that stuff that's trying to update needlessly like nvidia container or whatever. once my firewall is up and connected online, you can see the stupid programs trying to update. or you can turn all firewall notifications off and let kaspersky do it. but just because it's a legit trusted program, doesn't mean you should allow is to do whatever it wants.

take some time and learn to use a firewall. with a good firewall you don't even need an antivirus scanner.

Restoring to default didnt fix the problem.

This was the solution:

Turning off Limit traffic on metered connections

 

I want to add that its brilliant that kaspersky blocks their own support page when your trying to find a solution.

Please proceed as follow :

1. Download Kaspersky Plus
2. Uninstall Kaspersky Plus (keep license info during uninstall) + reboot .
3. Install Kaspersky Plus + reboot

Hmm i dunno how Larry means that, so i might have to clairfy something.

My sarcasme is toward Kaspersky that the user experience of the release of their new version is total crap.
If i had no knowlage of pc's i wouldn't be able to use my pc at all, cause every website was blocked.
0 out of 10 for the user experience.

My sarcasme was not towards the people here trying to help me resolve the issue, thats very much appriciated!
