New Kaspersky Plus Subscription

Hi, I have Kaspersky internet security installed on my computer and its going to run out in a few days, I have purchased Kapersky plus from my local computer shop.I am just trying to find out if I need to delete and remove the old internet program before I download and install the new kaspersky plus or can I just put in the activation code and it will overwrite and install everthing I need.

Welcome!

Going from KIS to Kaspersky Plus is upgrading the software. 

Before starting - always create a System restore point, read: How to create a restore point in Windows

We always prefer to do a clean install, i.e., remove the old software using Windows, Add & remove programs - then - shutdown, reboot the computer, login, download & install Kaspersky Plus. At the end of the install run a Database update & a full Scan, reboot the computer again, login, make sure Kaspersky Plus is active & working as you expect?
