Hi

I upgraded to premium from KIS 2023 and my QNAP "QFinder" can't get access?

Turning off firewall they come back! - But I really want my firewall to be on 🙂

I do have an Export setting file from the old version - but kaspersky is not really good at those export/import things as I remember? (Compatible)

Can anyone show me how to allow local NAS via QFinder from QNAP not to be blocked by Premium?

Thanks for your time and magic

Netz

Welcome to Kaspersky Community.

Please provide Kaspersky product version installed.

Also, be sure Your network is set to Private in Your Windows settings, also in Kaspersky FireWall settings -> Available Networks, be sure Your Home Network is set to Trusted.

Did You try what I suggested in my previous post?

@harlan4096

Yes ... All is ready for your magic 🙂

If I turn off Kaspersky - I can get access to my NAS drives... Then turn on Kaspersky it does not terminate the connection...

But after a reboot ... It blocks it again!! 😝

Ok, what about enabling these 2 packet rules in Your K. FireWall?

Have checked if in Your Intrusion Prevention -> Manage Applications, if there are any apps in some restricted groups?

Yes... No apps are restricted and QNAP is Green?

I noticed that when I also turn on the VPN - The nas's is gone...

I can tuned of (Exit) Kaspersky and let QNap finds it NAS - Give me access... Then I turn on Kaspersky and everything is ok (until next boot) - But if I turn on VPN - The NAS's are gone/blocked and no access?

(I don't need VPN ... I am on a wired computer to my router. But I need to boot now and again!

Can You try to disable only firewall in Your Kaspersky and check if still the issue? This is to locate what protection module the problem is into.

Yes... When I turn off the Firewall - I can find and access the NAS

Turning the Firewall on again... and the QNAP / Nas is blocked

I'm still thinking a possible solution, but usually with my previous tips would have been fixed...

Can You try to add QNAP apps to Trusted app here:

So, the issue is fixed with a Kaspersky setting reset to default?

I have the exact same issue, where did you 'RESET' to get this working?

Hello @GlenB

Welcome!

  1. ReadHow to restore the default settings of the application *however*, we prefer to Export (our) Kaspersky config *first* as a backup of (our) Kaspersky Settings:

@GlenB Welcome.

Also - as additional suggestion from  @harlan4096 - i should anyway add your NAS IP address  to the trusted Network addresses.

hi, so I reset kaspersky and i turned vpn off then on and the NAS was still not found.

I added the ip address to the trusted network address and this didn't make any difference either.

any other ideas?

Did You read this full thread? Did You try all the others previous suggestions? I guess in Your case, the problem is when  KVPN is on, that the network settings become public, so no access to local network 🤔...
