I checked that Kaspersky Security for Windows Server has been discontinued, and I was informed that I should use Kaspersky Security for Windows 12.4 on my servers. I installed KES 12.4, but now all servers become unresponsive with total CPU consumption. I have to restart them and disable the antivirus. I also tested KES 12.5, and the same issue occurs. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Hello kikobr,

according to the online help not all KES components supports Server OS. Please check the link and disable or uninstall the respective components which do not support Server OS and check if the behavior happen again.

If the problem cannot be solved with it gather a report from this server according to the this:
https://support.kaspersky.com/3632
(Please run as Administrator and include Event Logs)

Then open a Ticket with Technical Support and provide the Report and an export of your KES Policy.

I was informed that there is a conflict between Kaspersky and VMWare drivers. After I deleted the drivers, the problem stopped happening.

  • C:\Windows\System32\drivers\vsepflt.sys
  • C:\Windows\System32\drivers\vnetWFP.sys
