Hello,

We have KSC 11.0.0.1131 installed on Win Server 2016, around 250 client.

Everything works fine but we have lot of space used and it keeps increasing. Is there anything we could try to reduce this space and stop increasing ?

  • 18 GB in C:\ProgramData\KasperskyLab\adminkit\bases\cache
  • 4 Gb in C:\ProgramData\KasperskyLab\adminkit\1093\.working\FTServer\f933651e-1f9c-425c-9be9-5cec8badad33.package
  • 8 Gb in C:\Program Files (x86)\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Security Center

(this is a production environment so please, i just want to delete files that could be safely deleted)

Thanks

Hello!

Do you use KSC as WSUS in your environment?

Thank you!

Hi, no, we have Microsoft WSUS on another server.

Hi,

Files cannot be deleted from the FTServer folder manually. When original installation packages are deleted, the corresponding data will be automatically deleted from the FTServer folder.

Could you please clarify do you have patch B for KSC installed?

Thank you!

Hi, i’m not sure, where is the exact location to check it? This patch solves the space problem?

EDIT: I read the help and found location, NO, i don’t have patch B but i can install it now if it’s related to space space problem.

Ok Patch b installed. I see in the changelog:

We have fixed an error that prevented the automatic deletion of temporary files.

reboot and BOOM, 21 GB cleaned. Thanks.

Now, to fully understand situation:

  • C:\ProgramData\KasperskyLab\adminkit\bases\cache   Totally cleaned
  • C:\ProgramData\KasperskyLab\adminkit\1093\.working\FTServer\f933651e-1f9c-425c-9be9-5cec8badad33.package and  C:\Program Files (x86)\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Security Center NOT cleaned, exactly the same as before, is this normal or is there something i can do with these folders?

Thanks!
