Log folder is several GB in size

Hi,

I have Kaspersky safe kids on two identical computers, one for each kid.

However on one of them the kaspersky safe kid log folder under programdata is empty while the other is just crazy. I have to delete the logs on a weekly basis and it goes to 20-30GB in total size.

Something is not right.

Full scans on the PC give no results.

thanks for any help.

Hello @ElricZ

Welcome!

  1. On the Windows Taskbar, rightclick Kaspersky Safe Kids (KSK) icon
  2. Select Settings
  3. Sign in as parent
  4. Ensure Log events, Log application events is unchecked

  • Please let us know the outcome?

Thank you🙏

I experienced the same problem.

I found multiple huge log files in the Library folder. Now here’s the problem: I’m using Mac and I can’t find that Settings and Log events/Log application events. Please help.

Hello @Rick AW

Welcome!

  1. On the MAC, log in to a KSK account that isn't monitored by Kaspersky Safe Kids (KSK), i.e. (your) parent account.
  2. Open KSK application.
  3. In the KSK menu bar, choose Help → Disable Tracing.
  • Note: it’s odd for Tracing to be on, that’s not a KSK default🤔.
  • Since installing KSK, has the MAC been fully shutdown, powered OFF/ON?
  • Is there any other Kaspersky software installed on the MAC?

Please let us know the outcome?

Thank you🙏
