Hi,

I have added a new license to my KSC server. Devices have retrieved the new one. But "License Expired" is being shown in status of some of them. When I check in KSC, they have both licenses. Can I delete the old one on KSC server?

Thanks

I want to delete an old license from a device (properties of the device) on KSC server. As far as I see, not "delete" option exists. Can you please help?

Hello Xpreme,
before deleting a license from KSC you have to make sure the counter has value "0". Doubleclick the license you want to remove and check Devices. Remove the flag to automatically distribute the license to clients.

Then move such devices to group "Unassigned Devices" or remove them completely from KSC. Refresh License view and check if counter is 0. Once done you can delete it.
If the license is also added to the Administrationserver properties, remove it there and add the new one.

If you want to remove the license from client directly you need administrative rights and you can use commandline parameters to do that as described here:

LICENSE. Licensing

I hope I have been able to help you and remain

with Best Regards

Dear @JL - KL DACH

    Hi,

Thank you so much for your help. As a matter of fact, I am looking for "removing the expired license" from client. I think I have to do it on client's device directly or even I can run the command via KSC (maybe). The issue is that once a client retrieves new license form the KSC server, the old one still remains on the client and device status remains "license expired". I may try to run the command from the KSC.

Kind Regards,
