Good Morning.

Yesterday evening, my laptop screen froze and just went black, and then a screen came up saying my laptop did not shut down properly, and gave me options to restart etc

When I checked 'K' there was nothing there to say anything happened. Should 'K' have picked that up?

Welcome to Kaspersky Community.

Hum 🤔 I don't think so, You should check Windows logs, maybe an issue of hardware, drivers, etc...

Thank you, maybe that's correct. But why did 'K' not pick this up at all?

What do you mean with K not picked up this?

In K. Reports would appear something related to it, but not related with an issue of the system 🤔🤷‍♂️

Anyway, in Intrusion Prevention, You can change the Rights for Trusted apps -> Shutdown Microsoft Windows:

By default, all trusted apps have rights to shut down the system... that's why it has a green tick.

You can change to Block, or even to Ask User (if You set to Interactive Mode in Your Kaspersky)

Perfect, made that change, so will see what will happen. I also changed some others.

So to find the report in 'k'?

To find also reflected events in K. Reports, You should probably change also default notifications settings.

You have to click over Configure notifications, to get the window to set up Kaspersky events on Screen and/or in Report.

Everything may be a bit crazy, you will get a bunch of screen notifications, and all events in Reports, many of them are just informational, not issues or warnings...

Thank you. I realised that when they started coming through, and changed it to just certain warnings and all criticals.
