Hello Kaspersky Community,

I've recently run into an issue while using kvrt.run on my Linux system. Despite downloading and placing several ClamAV test files (like eicar.com and others) on my desktop, kvrt.run did not detect any of them during its scans.

Steps I've taken:

    Ensured kvrt.run was up-to-date.
Ran the application with default and expanded scan settings, including adding my home directory for thorough scanning.
Verified that other security measures were inactive or properly configured during testing.

Despite these efforts, kvrt.run consistently reported no threats found. This contrasts with expected behavior, as these test files should trigger alerts in a properly functioning antivirus scan.

Could anyone provide insights or recommendations on how to address this issue? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

It doesn't work for other people either.
The IKARUS test virus was not found.
Absolutely useless.

For tests you should use eicar test file

"For tests you should use eicar test file"
Really?
Is that the only thing Kaspersky recognises?
Funny.

Funny thing is to use a Clamav or Ikarus test files for Kaspersky testing. Also as funny to use a Kaspersky test files for Clamav or Ikarus testing.

To avoid inconsistency testers use eicar test file or real ITW malware.

If only one file is recognised as a virus, it is not worth much.
I was already under the impression that viruses are made by the companies that make the anti-virus software, but this confirms that.
