KSK Free for Android blocked from connecting

Hello,

KSK Free for Android connected to home WiFi network with password

Signed in to My.Kaspersky.com

KSK Applications configured with Settings Forbidden by parent and works fine

Months later, replaced router used for home network

KSK Free for Android blocked from selecting new WiFi network to enter password in order to connect

Signed in to My.Kaspersky.com

KSK Applications changed Settings from Forbidden to Allowed by parent

Of course, the Android phone with KSK is not connected to the internet, so it cannot find out that KSK Applications configured with Settings set to Allowed. Remain blocked from connecting to WiFi network.

 

How do I get out of this conundrum?

1. Android version? 
2. KSK version?
3. Is the Android that cannot connect configured for your child? 
4. On that Android, can you sign into KSK application as parent? 
5. Has KSK been uninstalled & clean installed?

Get list of available networks

 

I was actually able to select my home network to enter password

 

Immediately blocked from entering password in order to connect

 

It occurred to me that I did not mention this cellphone relies on WiFi only for access to the internet; no data plan. Then, it occurred to me that other passwords to other networks had also been saved on the phone. So, I went to another location away from home and connected to another WiFi network. This allowed me access to Settings on the phone based on the change I had made in my account for KSK Applications. Once I returned home, I was allowed to enter the WiFi password.

 

I hope this helps others.

FYI, KSK is not actually blocking WIFI, KSK has no network management features; because Settings was configured to be Blocked, which it should be, you were unable to access the wifi features, however, accessing Settings from parent phone, should never be blocked by KSK.
