I would like to up-vote for the Brave Browser to be supported. At the moment it's the most private of browsers available. A factor that I thought Kaspersky would support unequivocally.

mananhiteshkataria, Brave is not a browser supported by Kaspersky. If you'd like Kaspersky software "enhanced", please log a request via your MyKaspersky account. Use the "I have a suggestion" template. Kaspersky technical/business teams review all requests, measure requests again a variety of benchmarks and do whatever passes. Kaspersky Technical Team will communicate with you regarding any suggestion raised with them. Thanks.

Hello StrangeImagination, Please follow the same advice: If you'd like Kaspersky software "enhanced", please log a request via your MyKaspersky account. Use the "I have a suggestion" template. Kaspersky technical/business teams review all requests, measure requests again a variety of benchmarks and do whatever passes. Kaspersky Technical Team will communicate with you regarding any suggestion raised with them. ----- The more Kaspersky customers provide feedback to Kaspersky Technical Team, the more likely the "wishes" are to be realised. ----- It's great if all of us come here & say "I want this", they should do that", "why haven't they got x", but, at the end of the day, the way to get product development made real, is to send the information straight thru the Kaspersky channels. & (you may have already read compatability documentation, however, in case you have haven't) https://help.kaspersky.com/KPM/Win9.2/en-US/84996.htm Thanks.

Thank you. I already have done the above. Suggestion to tech support done after your lead, however, I don't think mildly attacking me is the way forward. I would suggest you curb the urge.

Hello StrangeImagination, There was no attack, no urge to attack, nothing of the kind. I support everyone posting improvements to all of Kaspersky products. & encouraging anyone (me/you/whomever reads the post) to also log the "improvement" suggestion with the Technical Support team. I only wish Kaspersky would take all the product improvement/suggestions from the old forum & the new community portal. Sadly they don't. And, it's wonderful you've submitted the enhancement suggestion, thank you. Best regards.

Hello -- I would also like to see Brave supported by Kaspersky, however I cannot find the Suggestion template you mention. Would it work to put a general request in to Support?

Thanks….

Hello @Tokenn

Welcome!

Sorry for the delay responding to your question.

  • Log into your MyKaspersky account, select whichever Kaspersky AV product you use, for example, KAV, KIS, KTS, KSecurityCloud, select Suggestion template, in the Suggestion Details field, add all the information that will explain what product you’d like included, they will assess the request, measure against many benchmarks, sometimes, enhancements are implemented, however, the process can be very slow.
  • After submitting the case, you’ll receive an automated email with an INC+12digits reference number, then, normally, within 5 business days, a Kaspersky Technical Support human will communicate with you, also by email, you may continue to engage with the Kaspersky Technical Team via email or by updating the INC in your MyKaspersky account.
  • Please note, the request to support Brave browser has been raised many times, in all the discussions, Kaspersky have never indicated they will do so at any time in the near future.
  • Please let us know what they advise, when the information is available?

Thank you🙏

Hi Flood --  I’ve done as you suggested, and I’m interested to hear that the request has been made many times in the past. I can’t think of a reason that Kaspersky wouldn’t want to make its product compatible with a popular browser, unless there is some deep-seated technical reason that prevents it. Let’s keep hoping for better things from them in future,

Hello @Tokenn

Good work👏

The only reason I can think of, I don’t actually know, it’s just my opinion, is the use of TOR technology.

If you get any feedback be sure to share it with the community please?

Thank you🙏

TOR is outlawed in Russia, I believe? Yes, that might explain a lot.

I don’t believe in the accusations that Kaspersky is an arm of the Russian government or compromised in any particular way, but  their having to toe the line on certain kinds of software technology is enough to make me reconsider my subscription to it. That’s too bad.

Hello @Tokenn

(imo) “compliance” & standards are something all providers must meet, irrespective of geographical location.

I very much doubt Kaspersky decision to not support browsers, other than those currently supported, has anything to do with politics.

Btw, politics is OT for the Community portal, so let’s not discuss it further.

Thank you🙏

I am migrating from Chrome/Yandex browser to Brave browser, so I found this thread after finding my KPM extension not working under Brave (it doesn’t login w Master PW).

I submitted a complaint to Kaspersky, and received a response saying to Kaspersky Moscow plan to IMPLEMENT BRAVE BROWSER SUPPORT BY “BEGINNING NEXT YEAR”. (2021)

My KPM sub runs out Nov 2020, I’ll renew hoping to get Brave support during the next subsc year.

In the meantime, I’m migrating my pws to the Brave browser (PC & Android).  The sync is very easy.

Really hoping that Kaspersky will implement support for the Brave browser as well as fingerprint unlock for KPM PC.

Hello @rhubear & @new11

The last time we made an enquiry, regarding Brave being supported in any Kaspersky Home AV software, the advice received from the Russian development team was:

qte

It’s unlikely the Brave browser will be supported as it has quite low market share.

unqte

Thank you🙏

Hey guys,
I too had also created a feedback/suggestion request for the inclusion of the Brave browser, just thought everyone on this thread would like to know the latest response: (Nothing too new)

Support response Nov 10 2020, 2:08:53 AM

We would like to inform you that "Brave" browser is currently not supported by Kaspersky. We have a suggestion to have Brave browser supported in the future update, and it is still in process.

So I guess they are at least considering it but hopefully that means support will be developed soonish.

Sounds similar to the update I got…. Its WIP.   At least its got to that stage.

I’m hoping for an update early 2021.  Just renewed KPM.

Hello @Anonymouse@StrangeImagination, @mananhiteshkataria, @Tokenn@rhubear@new11

Note, patches are distributed automatically, in staggered distributions, if patch(n), has not immediately arrived, rest assured, it will arrive eventually.

Note1: no current news regarding Kaspersky protection extension for either Vivaldi & or Brave, however, now that the KPM extension has been provided, maybe KPE will follow at some stage🤔

Hello @Igor Kurzin

Potential issue: KPM extension/Brave, no View in Chrome Web Store link - image 5

Thanks for the info! It’s probably the first time if ever had a follow-up response to a product suggestion/improvement! :) It’s really great to see companies actively engaging with their customers.
Still on version 9.0.2.13079 (m), hopefully, the patch will be released in Aus soon.
@Flood and Flood's wife, why is it that your KPM GUI looks “nicer” & even has the Password Generator, accessible? Second screenshot is mine.

Hello @new11

You’re most welcome☺ !

  1. 9.0.2.14151(n) has been released in Australia: have you shutdown your computer using Shutdown, not Restart recently, if “no”, please do so?
  2. nicer” KPM gui, ‘cause it’s the patch(n) updated gui , there’s quite a few changes😃
  3. Additionally, in the interests of accuracy & transparency:  we’re not associated with Kaspersky in any way; there's a small team of Kaspersky employees/expert specialists, who participate in the Community - all are clearly identifiable, bc, their profile shows "Kaspersky Lab Employee".

Thank you🙏
