KIS for Android cannot be opened stuck starting

Since about 2 weeks KIS cannot be opened. It says "Starting" and stuck.

I have A Samsung S20 Ultra with the latest Ansroid 13.x It worked properly until 2 weeks ago. Another user posted the same under "Kaspersky Android app stuck starting" Unfortunately with no answers.

I read the forum saying uninstall, but to do this i need to remove the device admin permission and this is locked by KIS. I cannot uninstall because I cannot open.

 

Any Ideas? Thank you!

Welcome!

IF you're unable to access permissions granted to KIS & if you're unable to clear the app's Data & Cache & or Force stop the app & IF you have current backups, the quickest way is to hard reset the phone, otherwise, please log a case with Kaspersky supporton the support page select either Chat or Email, then select Application malfunction, Other template; please include any screen images of the issue; Support may request logs, traces & other data, they will guide you. 

  • Please share the outcome with the Community, when it's available?

Wiill be fixed in the 93 build. Сheck for updates via the Google Store.

Made already a case with support 3 days ago, no reply yet. 

Hope 93 build will be coming... ?

Just a short update. Nothing new in the app store. My phone gets emptied battery now in half day ?

Got a message from Tech Support in my case with the recommendation to uninstall the app. I wish I could but I cannot open it. I explained him again that this is the reason for the ticket ?

 

Does anybody have an Idea how to uninstall it? And please not with erase phone and reset. Have a lot of Apps that I need for work....

Welcome back & thanks for the proactive update!

We also wish Kaspersky would fix this pronto!!

The Kaspersky PLUS (Standard) app is creating 500+++ stack trace files every day -> it's a disaster?

  • @Danila T., how long before v93 is released please, there's no point all of us checking GPS on a daily basis when the app is hanging in the store & can't be updated!
