I have KIS 21.3.10.391(j) on Windows 7 64.

Whenever my PC is left idle for 15 min and when screen saver is turned on, KIS is doing something CPU intensive in the background until I start working again on PC.
I was wondering why is this happening and how to disable this?

Hello Mox,

Welcome back!

  1. Have you checked KIS Reports
  2. Is Background scan *still* disabled? IF "no", a Background scan may be running -> if the computer remains idle for five or more minutes (after the screen saver is started).
  3. From your previous topics, did you ever follow up the issue with Kaspersky Technical Support

Thank you🙏

Background scan is disabled.

There is nothing showing in KIS Reports.

I don't know what KIS is doing?

@mox

Please check your running processes in the Windows task manager ?

I checked, avp.exe is the only one doing something, it shows using CPU.

Is there something that I can do by myself?

Some troubleshooting?

For privacy reasons we don’t ask for system logs , your best option to obtain adequate help is Kaspersky Technical Support.
