KES blocking RHEL Subscription Server and updates

Hello,

Recently Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business - Select (12.2.0.462) has been blocking a Red Hat Enterprise Server virtual machine (9.3) that I use for testing from connecting to RH's licensing server.  That in turn, prevents me from getting updates, etc.

If I turn off KES in the Host then it works (not a tenable solution) and I haven't figured out what area in Settings to modify.  I actually don't need KES to scan the VM.  I was previously under the impression that you had to specifically enable a Policy for KES to protect VMs.  In any event, I don't mind the protection as long as I can get KES to stop blocking the subscription/licensing checks which RHEL seems to do every few minutes.

Appreciate any assistance as I didn't see any similar issues in this "Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business" subforum.

Cheers,

HLB

Host: Windows 10 Pro N

Hypervisor: VirtualBox 7.0.12

KES runs standalone, i.e, Kaspersky Security Center is not used.

Most likely this is the work of the network threat protection component, but this requires clarification...

check the product's operation log for messages about your virtual machine being blocked.

Or you can, one by one, turn off and on the security components to understand what exactly is blocking access...

Well, after that we’ll see how we can create an exception for your problem...

Thanks, will follow your suggestions and relay my success or failure.

Got it working.  It wasn't any of the Essential or Advanced Threat Protections, or even Security Controls.

It was Settings | General Settings | Network Settings | Trusted Applications and then modify the hypervisor as needed.
