Kaspersky Security Center 10 is unable to connect [MOVED]

Recommended Posts

Hi There,

We are using Kaspersky Security Center 10 of version 10.5.1781 (as can be seen in image Capture3).

Few months back we received an error email from Kaspersky server and detailed error message can be seen in “Capture2” image. After few days of ignoring such messgae now we are unable to connect Kaspersky Security Center 10 and we are getting error which can be seen in Capture image as attached.

Someone, kindly help us in resolving this issue asap.

Note: After all such issues, we cannot connect to Kaspersky server, Kaspersky server is not being updated and running on last configurations which were setup before mentioned issues occur. We can confirm above because we are regularly getting emails as were supposed to get before such issues.

//Mod Note: moved to the correct section.

Hi Ravi,

Thank you for your prompt response. Yes, I can repair the database from SQL Server Management Studio but doing this will require help from your side. Moreover, we can restore earlier backups from “KSC data backup and restore utility” as it is showing us 3 earlier backups which can be seen in Capture image.

Furthermore, DB server and KSC are installed in the same server under same OS.

Thank you for that info!

according to GSI there are lots of errors like “The device, \Device\Harddisk0\DR0, has a bad block.”

Please confirm that HDD works correctly before we can continue.

Also please notice that KSC DB is corrupted:

”(Database error occured: #1962 (823) Database seems to be corrupt 823 (The operating system returned error 23(Data error (cyclic redundancy check).) to SQL Server during a read at offset 0x000000b5042000 in file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL12.KAV_CS_ADMIN_KIT\MSSQL\DATA\KAV.mdf'. Additional messages in the SQL Server error log and system event log may provide more detail. This is a severe system-level error condition that threatens database integrity and must be corrected immediately. Complete a full database consistency check (DBCC CHECKDB). This error can be caused by many factors; for more information, see SQL Server Books Online.))”

Please make sure you do have a valid backup copy.

Thank you!
