Kaspersky Safe Kids disabled and uninstalled

Hello Kaspersky Team,

 

I would like to share how my kid managed to disable the app and remove it.

The kids phone is Samsung A20e, andriod 10 patch level 1 April 2020.

The app is pin locked and the Settings Menu of the phone is forbidden in the app.

So there are the steps how he managed to do it:

  1. Opens the Settings menu which is automatically blocked by SafeKids and closed.
  2. Taps the Recents button (III) and long presses on the Settings icon above the window.
  1. A menu is displayed from which he chooses “Open in pop-up view”
  2. The settings are displayed in scaled down window whit no blocking from SafeKids.
  3. Scrolls down to the Accessibility enters in the settings and disables Kaspersky SafeKids in the Installed services.
  4. After that Kaspersky SafeKids  stops poping up blocking windows on any forbidden application but still functions like statistics are working.
  5. Then he enters the Applications menu in phone Settings, chooses SafeKids and uninstalls it.

  • ❎ Kaspersky KSK developers are aware of the issue, however, they’ve made no progress for many months, because they need data, and no-one is submitting it❎  
  • Please contact Kaspersky Technical Support please follow Getting technical support in your account guide & template (see image belows):  include images, a detailed history of all steps taken, an AIDA64 report, also the Support Team may request Traces, if Traces are needed they will provide a special KSK version to install & the steps you need to take, to collect the logs.
  • After submitting the case, you’ll receive an automated email with an INC+12digits reference number, then, normally, within 5 business days, a Kaspersky Technical Support human will communicate with you, also by email, you may continue to engage with the Kaspersky Technical Team via email or by updating the INC in your MyKaspersky account.
